I have PPMS . I have had MS since I was a toddler. Mine is so slow at progression and I have metastatic Ovarian Cancer and am on constant chemo so I not on a DMD.
Alex
I am glad your surgery went well and it was benign but I am sorry you lost your other sex organs as well and your appendix. My healthy organs were also removed :(
Well, if anyone is reading this...I underwent an exploratory laparotomy with a total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salpingoopherectomy and appendectomy on December 2, 2014. Happily, the large complex ovarian cyst was benign. I so very thankful and am on the road to recovery. I have to give a shout-out to my primary doctor....she is an amazing woman who without provocation, has kept in touch with me via email to make sure I am ok. Thank you, Margot!!!!
Thank you guys so much for sending me reassurance! Alex, I noted on your profile that one of your interests is MS. Not sure if that is for you (I hope not!!), but I also have MS. If it is you, are you taking any of the medications like Copaxone or Gilenya? Sometimes I wonder...
So good to hear from you Alex. Especially with possibly good news. Even though we really have connected over Med Help u have a soft place in my heart for you.
Hoping for any bits of news. Hugs to u. Nicky
I know u want news from my end. Bad bad headache for several days, sore throat, on 12/2 my first tooth gets pulled and get area ready for an implant.
Trying to drag myself to a needed new MS doc. Hard to do anything at all with splitting headache.
Thoughts r with u. Nicky
A ca125 of 18 is good. You have less than a 2% it is Ovarian Cancer. Of course you all ready know an endometrial biopsy will not show Ovarian. I thought it would I had three. No bloating is a very good sign. Going to Gyn/ocologist is good because they deal with complex cases not just cancer.I threw up for two years, had diaphragm spasms for two years, and looked like I was pregnant even though I was losing a lot of weight. They can tell a lot from ultrasounds. The CT will tell them more. I am sorry you are worried. Hopefully it will be benign.

Please don't panic - it can make for bad decisions. I have been there and was rushed into surgery and it did not turn out well (I was de-sexed for a 9.5cm benign ovarian cystadenoma). I am 8 years post-op and the problems just keep on coming.
Since you do not have a family history of ovarian cancer, this cyst unlikely to be cancerous (only 2% chance). With the gross overuse of hysterectomy and oophorectomy, you may need to see a number of surgeons to preserve your organs if the cyst is benign (as determined by the frozen section). Let us know what you find out...hoping it is nothing serious.
