I am so happy that the new treatment is working for you! Yippee....
Karen
Thanks you all - I really am happy about the news. If only I could feel a little better. I now have a horrible rash developing in all areas where I sweat (armpits, inner thighs, where my bra sits) it's pretty painful.
Jan - The weirdest thing happened today!! I was actually doing a client's hair when you called (I know it was late, but she comes in after work) and I showed her my rash and she said that it looks like a yeast infection. She thought that my body was trying to push out the toxins (yeast) in places where I sweat. Then I check my email and you were talking about Doxil causing yeast infections. How ironic!! I'm going to PM Donna to find out more info. You absoulutely have to come to CO for my wedding. How exciting to have you and Cory there celebrating with us.
Much love to you all and thanks for the support - Deandra
See, you just never know and you just cannot give up. What absolutely wonderful news. It has totally made my day! I do believe in the power of prayer and I feel God's hand on you.

My prayers and best wishes to you from over here in little NZ.

That is the most extraordinary news I have heard in a long time. I can't believe those idiots would scare you by telling you they were sure it was a blockage without a scan. I am so relieved that everything is going so well. Do you think now you might be able to do that regimen that MD Anderson was talking about before? I am so happy that your tumors are gone or almost gone. That really is the most exciting news. I am still having a hard time believing that those MD guys told you six months to a year when obviously you are making astounding progress. They should not have told you that either. What is wrong with people that they can do that? I told my onc to tell me if he thinks I have a month, but I dont want to hear any of the 6 mths to a year cr@p. A lot can happen in that time frame. Just look at you. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that you are proving the "experts" wrong.
Cory and I love you so much and we have you in our constant prayers Deandra. Seriously, when Cory woke me up this morning he said, "Let's have a prayer for Deandra & Donna" and we hadn't read the last part of this and did not know you had gone to the Dr. yesterday. I just read this to him and his jaw dropped open. He said he had been thinking about you and thought you could use the extra boost, and that he was worried about Donna's stomach issues. Wow, that is kinda spooky.
We are already planning our big Colorado vacation. Cory has never been out there but I used to spend all of my summers in Taos NM and we would spend a lot of time in CO. also. I can't wait to dance at your wedding.
Love ya bunches,
Jan
It couldn't get better!! I went in to get the CT scan today to confirm the bowel obstruction, and they were WRONG!! No bowel obstruction, no hospital and the best part...my tumors have shrunk. Well, actually two are GONE and one is lingering. I could not be happier, this is what I needed to bounce back! My symptoms are still left unexplained...sorry Donna????!!!!! They think the Doxil may be causing the cramping and the dosage may have to be lowered. I was sent home with a whole bag of new meds - mostly to help the cramping and bloating. If it's not better by Friday, my onc will order a "bowel series" which is an IN-DEPTH look at barrium (?) traveling through your intestines, bowel and colon. Donna - maybe you could suggest this??
I have to be honest and say I was ready to throw in the towel if this chemo didn't show progress, but now that we know it's working - my heart and mind is back in it. Thank you for all your prayers and good thoughts. I will be sending out responses to all my personal emails in the next few days. Time to celebrate!! Much love, Deandra
I hope you get any bit of good news today Deandra, you sure deserve a break. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Deandra,
Thinking of you today and hoping that all turns out well from the CT. You are in my daily thoughts and prayers.
I wish you the very best!
Love Chris
Deandra...I'm thinking of you today and hoping everything goes well. I just had that full and distended feeling for the last week, but managed to work it out on my own...not a pretty sight, let me tell you. And boy, did I ever get sick with it! The doc in emerg told me that if you don't get your bowels moving regularly, it can turn into an obstruction very quickly, especially with our health history. Of course like you said, it may be from your chemo - I just don't know enough about it.
Please let us know how you are...we're all thinking of you today!
((HUGS))
love Becky
Dear Deandra,
I'm hoping that they can find out what is causing this blockage and take care of it. You're right, it's been one thing after another. Stay strong and hang in there. Love and sending prayers! ((hugs))
Lori
Thoughts and prayers coming your way. I so hope this is not serious and that it will clear itself. Hugs, Trudie
Sent you a private Message..........sending lots of good wishes, prayers and postiveness your way..........Stay strong!!!! Love ya,Gia
Another lady on here posted me that she did 2 doxil recently and it inflammed her intestines causing blockage, and closed up her throat. Her doctor took her off of doxil, and it has resovled. I am supposed to get it again today , and am still having terrible stomach pain. I am going to insist on a ct or not do it. I could not get an appt with a G,I. Dr in less than a week. Donna
Did you read Dr. Goodman's response to msjazz about doxil effect?
I am sending you every good wish and hoping for good news
Jenny
