please help me explain these symptoms

since july this year i have been having some really bad problems.
i have endometriosis so my periods are always very heavy and prolonged lasting 10 days or so and every time my period is due, the week before, i get very ill. i start to have tremors throughout my body, then i feel sick, then i get a migraine, then my bp drops a lot! i have been hospitilized for this but they said its just your endo and sent me home.
since a month ago i have also been getting, like a feeling of pressure low down in my pelvis like behind my pelvis bone. like something is swollen there. also i am having trouble going for a wee. i  have to literally lean right over so my tummy is on my knees or i cant go. i also have a very sharp stabbing pain that goes up the centre of my abdomen from the top of the pubic bone to the right side of my naval. deep inside.
the pain to the right of naval is intense. i cant stand fingertip pressure on it. it also swells and appears to be like a stick of celery or something.
i have had this pain in the right side for some 5 months or so.
my gynae refuses to believe this pain is real so i have changed my doctor and will be seeing the new on enext month.
but i am scared.
along with htis i am suffering from mild constipation again having to lean over to go,and also insomnia.
i have the pain in my pelvic area right now. it rates about a 3 on the pain scale, but it will get worse throughout the night to the point i will be sweating and unable to ease it,it will reach a 10.
i was given iv morphine in hospital for these in august, they performed an ultrasound scan but couldnt see anything as my bladder was empty(i was nil by mouth in case it was my appendix which they ruled out)
the scan was not offered again.
im so scared it could be cancer.
my mother had ovarian cancer at 34 years of age and had to have an emergency hysterectomy.
does this sound like it to you? i dont want to ask my mother as i dont want to frighten her.
and my docotrs appointment is a month away!
please please help me.

Go the a gyn for a total examination a.s.a.p. and hopefully put your fears to rest.  There is no one here to give you a diagnosis.  Don't wait a month!

I can understand how worried you must be given your mother's diagnosis.   Have you had a transvaginal ultrasound or scan?  I was unclear what you were listing in your post.   Many of the symptoms you describe sound like ovarian cysts but unfortunately, ovarian cancer tumors also cause the same symtoms.  You need to get a transvaginal ultrasound to rule out an ovarian mass. Odd are with you that you DON'T have ovarian cancer.  I can say, I was floored to even know that was a possibility in my dx.  I never suspected such a thing.  Just tell your doctor you are having pain and the symptoms you listed. Insist on a transvaginal ultrasound.  If that is negative, try to get a good gyn to follow you and restest if your symptoms persist.   If you have ovarian cancer, a mass will likely be present.  Otherwise, endometriosis can and does cause many of the symptoms you are describing.   You really need to find a gyn you trust and have regular screenings if the symptoms persist.  Best of luck to you.

hi sorry in the uk we call a scan, an ultrasound scan and a transvaginal scan a tvs.

hi had what you call a scan.

i have to wait a month for the appointment because thats how it works here. you cannot just ring up an be seen, you have to wait your turn. i was lucky to get an appointment so quickly, as the waiting list is currently 18 weeks long.
thanks for your help though

Yes, I can see the process is different in the UK.  Could you restate your pain level and get in sooner?  I am sorry and hope you get some help soon.

Hi, Im from the UK and I suggest that you go to the NHS walkin centre when you are in that amount of pain. They should not send you home and I would hope if things aren,t sorted out then and there they will get you an emergency appointment. Do not be fobbed off with pain killers unless they are going to get you an emergency appointment in the next few days. Tell them that the pain is affecting your bladder and bowel movements and is unbearable. I have been on the same path as you with the NHS and have learned some lessons the hard way. DO NOT let them intimidate you and make you feel that you are making a fuss, I went back and forth for a 18 months with undiagnosed endometriosis that turned malignant into ovarian cancer.
Good luck and keep us posted, remember you know your own body more than any doctor on this planet.

i wish it was that simple. i had a horrific experience recently in hospital. i was told it was all in my head, and during an internal exam i was told to pretend my husband was giving me pleasure
i have been back anf forwards to this hospital for 7 years with endo problems, including a burst cyst that almost cost me my life, that time i was told to take paracetamol and stop wasting their time. i ended up being admitted via ambulance
the only gyn dept in my area is within that hospital and as i am in the process of suing them i just cant go as i feel i would not recieve decent care.
i have this morning telephoned the hospital i am going to in november and was told they have no available appointments at all until the beginning of november.
so im stuck.
i went to see my gp this morning who said i have some guarding(?) on the lower right fossa(?) and a sizeable lump. she has arranged a tvs but the waiting list again for that can be up to 3 weeks.
so i am at a loss. my only other option is to go private but as i am on long term sick due to the endo and fibro i just cannot afford to.

Hi,
is there anyway you could pay for a private scan?, I have done that before at the bupa hospital, it costs about £90 , they send the results to your NHS Consultant and you would still be in the NHS system but they can usually arrange a scan within a couple of days instead of the long wait. I know how you are feeling because I was doing night shifts while doubled over in agony and very anaemic too. I sued my hospital on the grounds of delayed surgery and I won !.
