could this be ovarian cancer ?

pain for over a year along with bloating, cystsfree fluid, gas,  lower back pain upper leg pain and No appetite with naseaua/vomiting and weight gain.  Im always tired and was said to have pluerisy back in February 2014 and the pain is still there. I recently had a laparscopy that showed no endometriosis. But the pictures should the ovary looks abdnormal to me and looks discolored in spots. My gynecologist didn't mention anything to be wrong the pictures just look off to me. I don't really know what my next step should be. Can ovarian cancer still be a possibility ? Could this be something else entirely ? What tests should I have done? What more  information can you give me ?

If I really knew my body and thought there was something wrong I would try another doctor. Diagnosing is not easy. I have Multiple Sclerosis and it took over 40 years for a diagnosis. The Cancer took two years. I saw a Gynecologist, a heart specialist, a ER doctor, a gastroentrologist, a general surgeon, and to GPs. One of the GP's ordered the ultrasound that found it. Of course I have the BRCA1 mutation and 4 people , two with Ovarian Cancer in my immediate family. I have no clue what is wrong with you I am not a doctor. I just know what is like to not be listened to. My doctors thought I was a hypochondriac or dramatic now they see me as the opposite stoic. It is sad it takes to major diagnosis for doctors to listen to you but that is what it takes. Now I get appointment immediately if I call.

Im trying my best to be assertive with my gyn. He doesn't  believe I have any problems and is reluctant on referring me to a specialist. Should I just switch and ask another to refer me ?

Hi Katie ,
Be your own advocate. Consult with another doctor : Gyn/ Gyn / oncologist. Don't stop until you are confident that all your questions have been answered.
Best wishes!
