ovarian cyst

I had a transvaginal US, it said that I have a right ovarian cyst with measurement of 28x20mm my right ovary measures 35x30x30mm, what does this mean, may doctor said it might just be a physiologic cyst so operation is not an option however I am worried because of the size. My left ovary measures 25x12x12mm, why is it too small compared to my right? is this ok?

A normal follicle that produces the egg can run 2-3 cm (20-30 mm). Yours sounds quite average so far. And our bodies are not perfectly symmetrical. That's easy to see just comparing our breasts. Usually one is a little smaller than the other. Same is true for other pairs of body parts.

When you are ovulating (and you are on your right ovary) your ovary can seem larger.  The cyst is very tiny.  Why did you have the US?
