how can I sleep?? rib/back/shoulder pain?

I don't know if my baby just moves towards my ribs at night or what is going on, but by the time I head to bed my back and ribs ache and I just lay awake uncomfortable for hours. Do I need to get up and walk around? Is it from not taking naps earlier on? Also what position can I sleep in?
Haven't slept through the night in 3 days, please help!

Maybe this information on rib pain on MedHelp.org and in the I'm Expecting app will help: http://www.medhelp.org/pregnancy-health/articles/Rib-Pain-During-Pregnancy-Your-Symptoms-Manual/2109

Or select Rib pain in the Symptoms in the Pregnancy Diary, then hit Done and go to the menu in the upper left to see information on it in the Symptoms Manual.

Hope you feel better soon!

I've had the same for past few weeks (currently 31wks).
I feel baby floats up into my ribs during the night! If thats possible... because I'm fine during the day walking around...
Side sleeping is worse, but no other option ey!

I haven't slept thru the night in almost two weeks bc of this! It hurts to lay on any side. So my doc prescribed Ambien and it helps me sleep a few hours through the pain. It does make me groggy when I wake up but it eventually goes away.

I understand how you feel. The pain at night is so unbearable I was crying last week. I would look up safe over the counter sleep aids, or talk to your doc, I use a ton of pillows and sometimes take cat naps during the day.
