ugh! sore hips!

I am 35wks today & for the past couple of weeks I wake up at night to roll from side to side cuz my hips hurt so bad! It's like the bed springs are digging into my hip bones! Anyone else have this problem or ideas that might help? I'd sleep all night if it didn't hurt bad enough to wake me up lol

i find that if i put a pillow under one side while laying on my back so im at an angle and not directly on the hip bone sometimes helps, with a pillow under my tummy supporting it, or if i lay in the "recovery position" so im on the front of my hip angled onto my tummy, top leg bent and bottom leg straight, leaning onto pillows helps a lot(i think this way  is the best for me)... but for some reason it only works this way for mt if im leaning onto my right side, i cant do on my left? its just doenst work the same? lol i dono? and i havent resorted to this yet but lots of pillows behind the back so you can "sit up" in bed and off the sides of your hips completely...  last time i had it really bad but i didnt know i dont have to be right on my hip! so it was a painful long pregnancy! this round im learning some good angles off the bone! Im almost 33 weeks and the hip pain has started :(

Same here. Been having lot of hip joints pain and pelvic pressure since 34 weeks. Doctor said if my hip joint loosing up in prepare for the birth. Plus the weight of the baby you have to carry all day long. She suggest a belly belt to help support the weight during the day. And at night I try to sleep with a small pillow between my legs, that help a little. Beside that, there's not much you can really do. Mine hurt so much at night when I try to flip over or roll out of bed to use the bathroom, which is about 5 times a night :(
Hang in there ladies, we're almost there :)

Yeah that bit is a nightmare! I'm 34wks and this is the first pregnancy I've not had this problem, I think only because I got a new mattress a few months ago which is all NASA approved memory foam and sooo comfortable cos it supports my belly and lets me sink in! Short of you getting something similar (thats a little costly for the 5 wks or so that you need it for!) I used to use pillows EVERYWHERE! one between my knees, one under my bump and one behind me to stop me rolling onto my back! It does help, but is awkward when you want to roll over! You're nearly there, and then you'll be much more comfortable again...tired! but physically more comfy!

I totally know what ur talking about. I have the same problem except i bought a brand new bed thinking it was the problem lol and its not :-(. Definitely just the baby putting pressure. I've had the worst luck with my hips and legs this pregnancy. My hips n thighs feel like i have fat Charlie horses n em.when i wake up and i swear they feel bruised but they're not. I haven't found anything to help. Ive tried every advice. Let me know if u find something to be effective.
