Does Valtrex affect syphilis test result?

Hi,

I have a syphilis elisa and vdrl test on 33.5 days after exposure. However, i am taking Valtrex for EBV infection during testing period. Does Valtrex affecting these results?

No, it doesn't. Syphilis is bacterial, and valtrex is an anti-viral. It won't affect the test at all.

The only thing that might affect a syphilis test is if you had taken any antibiotics.
