Blood stains & long period of pain after having cryotherapy?

Hi guys, so I have 4 bumps on my penis & scrotum. I've seen 2 doctors one said they are viral warts the other one today said they are "sebaceous hyperplasia" and asked me to do swab test to see if they are warts.

However I went ahead with cryotherapy still because hpv testing costs more than 1/4 of the cryotherapy fee and also the doctor told me it could remove them for cosmetic reason.

The whole experience is quite different that what I expected after reading numerous online articles. Firstly, the cryotherapy lasted longer than I expected. The doctor froze each "bump" for 3 times, which lasted for more than 1 or 2 minutes in total. Afterwards it was very painful for me to even stand and it only got much better after 90 mins and with a painkiller. Also there were some blood stains on the "frozen area" and also my underwear. Now I have already bathed and I don't feel much pain.

So my question is, 1). Are the pain lasted that long and the bloodstains something that I have to worry about?
2.) If I have sex few days later and unknowingly the "frozen" areas have not been fully recovered, will it increase any STD transmission risk?

Thanks.

No. Everyone is different and heals at different rates.

Potentially it could, but it could also "open doors" to new opportunistic infections. Let the area heal fully!

Totally agree with this, especially number 2.

Also, you don't know if you have HPV or not, so you could be transmitting it. Definitely wait and let it heal, however long that takes, and use condoms after.

Thanks for the really informative post. Others will find that really helpful. :)
Thanks for the replies. Of cause I plan to let it heal fully, but how can I be sure the wounds have healed fully with naked eyes? Is it enough when the wounds no longer hurt and feel like normal skins? Sorry for being paranoid.

Yeah :)
Thank you. Also skin color of the wound doesn't matter right as I've read somewhere saying the skin colour will never be the same after the cryotherapy.
That's not necessarily true. It may leave different color skin, or it may not. That mostly depends on how your skin heals., how big the area is that is being treated, and how deep the warts are.
