Conjunctivitis
Hello everyone,does enybody knows if conjunctivitis caoused by chlamydia or gonorrhea can healed only by eye drops? Or its just healing the pink eye and the bacteria is still in my system?
Oh ok.Maybe it didnt happen and i just touched my eyes with dirty hands. I just asked this becaouse they told me that chlamydia if not treated can couse bigger problems in the feature even sterility.Thank you very much for your time and your oppinion.Take care!
I hope so.I also had an inflamed circumvallate papillae and developed rosacea but i didnt mention them before becaouse doctor told me that it has nothing to do with it and it was propably due to a virus coused my immune system to go down for a litle while i dont really know. At first i was afraid of hiv but i i had my negative resaults after 8 weeks.What i really want to know is that if a bacteria like chlamydia ifect the eye,the infection stays on the eyes and can be cured only with the drops or it will go further on my system and can be cured with antibiotics?
For the eye, not sure how it is tested for. Even a rub of the eyes is very very low risk. I still doubt this is STD related.
I guess i maby rubed my eyes after or during the oral sex.I have also read that chlamydia can couse conjunctivitis but not being a doctor i can only speculate.Do you know if i can be tested even if i dont have symptoms,meaning that they have to collect specimen for the actual discharge to test and i obviously do not have one.
I highly doubt you got a STD in the eye from performing oral sex on a woman. It would be a very very low risk.
Oh let me also add that the drops he gave me are for curing trachoma too as I saw on the manual inside the package,so that made me think that maby i contracted chlamydia.
I didnt get diagnosed with chlamydia or gonorrhea. I preformed oral sex on a woman of unknown std status. About 10 days layter i developed conjunctivitis according to the Optometrist.He didnt diagnose an std but he wasnt sure what it was either.He gave me eye drops and told me to come back if the symptos does not go after 4-5 days. Know i am afraid that i contracted an std and i have just cure the symptoms but not the std.I would go for a test but they have told me that i have to have symptoms in order to test me for those stds couse there are not blood test for those 2. Do you thnk that i could have cured the symptoms but not the bacteria it self?
