Not a UTI or STD??

Ok so Ive had very painful urination recently. A lot of pressure, cloudy urine. Frequent, but not overbearingly frequent. I went to the doctors to get some antibiotics, because I was sure it was a UTI. ended up not being one, she called today and said it wasnt a UTI OR chclamydia or gonorhhea. what else could it possibly be? Please help. thanks!

They might.  Usually they just do a dipstick which is a quick look for blood or bacteria.  A culture is when they send it to the lab to see if anything grows that the dipstick didn't find.  They should also check your urine under a microscope to see if you have any white blood cells present.

You should call and ask.  If they didn't do that, they need to.

i have no idea. do they do that when they do a urine sample?

Did she culture your urine to look for bacteria or white blood cells?
