Symptoms persist

Five weeks ago I engaged in deep kissing and received unprotected oral from someone who might be questionable. On day 12 I started to feel lightheaded, sore throat, by day 15, i developed a sinus infection, fatigue. Since day 15 my sore throat, white tongue, sinusitis, chills, low grade fever, fatigue, lightheadness, headaches, have continued. I have been feeling sick for three weeks.
Last week i had had a strep test, it was negative. I am currently on the 3rd day of a Z-Pak but still not feeling better.
Is there any way that the kissing or unprotected oral, would cause these symptoms?

Thank you.

kissing as well as just being within 3 feet of someone is the way cold /flu germs are transmitted.  That's your coincidence dear!!!!

No, you either have a STD or you don't. Symptoms are not of a STD.

One more question:
Is it not possible that these non-specific symptoms although not necessarily specific to an STD can be brought on by an exposure to an STD such that it weakens one's immune system?

Thank you!

Thank you for your response.

You are probably right but of course the timing/coincidence and the continuous feeling of being sick persuades one's mind to be illogical and scared.

Thank you again!

you sound like you caught an upper respiratory infection like are very common this time of the year - not a std.

follow up with your medical provider as needed.

Thank you!

I forgot to mention I often feel like I am hot on the inside but have no fever, itchy on the inside of my back and arms, body feels tingly.

Of course I am still worried that I have contracted an STD.

none of your symptoms sound std related at all.

we recommend that if your clothes are off, a condom should be on. Protect youself by only having protected oral sex - saves you from frequent testing as well as saves you from worrying like this :)
