Hello and hope you are doing well.

Inability to sleep could be problems with initiating sleep or maintaining sleep is called insomnia. Problems with breathing (Obstructive sleep apnea), certain medications, restless leg movements, teeth grinding and sleep walking/talking could contribute to insomnia. Grinding teeth while sleeping is called bruxism. This can occur due to malocclusion of teeth or due to psychological stress. In adults sleep talking could be associated with stress, anxiety or other sleep disorders. Sleep deprivation and stress are known to aggravate these symptoms. As the symptoms are interfering with your sleep schedules consult your doctor.

In the meantime, follow good sleep hygiene measures like going to bed at the same time, waking up at the same time, avoidance of alcohol, smoking and caffeinated beverages. This will help reduce the severity of your sleep symptoms.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I've stopped wearing mine as it falls out when I'm sleep but I'm going to get a new one. I might book a doctors appointment to find out more

I also am not sleeping well at nite. I grind my teeth as well. But have a night guard I have been wearing. I am waiting on a new one as mine broke. I was just diagnosed with sleep apnea. That could be why you are waking up a lot. The doc told me that. Also you may be worrying a lot. I know I have been doing that too. I don't know if this helped but know you are not alone.take care.
