Dozing conflicts CBT; does it matter?

Starting end April upto September, I always have problem sleeping.  I do use CBT religiously.  However, it's not really helping.

I meditate for 15 minutes or so every few days or everyday.  Due to not sleeping well at night, I ALWAYS doze while meditating.  Even though I'm very alert and always aware of when I start drifting away, dozing off is "sleep" even for a few minutes/seconds.

Does my dozing affect CBT?  Or is it actually helping me to get some rest?

If the nap is under about 15 minutes, any effect should be minimal.  If longer, could be stealing sleep from the night following and part of the reason why CBT sleep training methods are not working.
