Hello and hope you are doing well.
Please don't venture to increase the dose of sedatives and controlled substances without the supervision of a doctor. Besides, drug-drug interactions, we never know the metabolism status unless tests have been done to justify their prescription. Discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
You should always follow the directions of your doctor regarding medications. Your doctor knows you and is able to take your numerous specific circumstances into consideration when deciding what medication and how much is likely appropriate for you specifically. This medications is only rarely used at a higher dose than 7.5mg and then it's usually for psychiatric indications instead of just insomnia. Also, the higher dose has not been shown to be more effective for insomnia than the 7.5mg dose. Also, this medication should not be used for more than 1 month. Medications, however, are not the ideal choice of treatment for insomnia anyway. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia is the best choice as demonstrated by a study at Harvard in 2004.
I already did, it's making me sleep now, Goodnight.
