If I can remember correctly, it took me about a week before I got use to sleeping with it. Once you start to feel how much better your sleeping is, the easier it will become. There is also different masks you could try to also make it more comfortable for you.
You will be fine

I have a hard time remembering things like I use to, but I think back in 98 or 99. I like the full mask because I am also a mouth breather. The more you wear it the more you will get use to it. I know the mask makes you look sexy when you have it on ( LOL ), but try wearing the mask around the house for a couple of hours during the day to help you get use to the feeling of it on.
It could help get you more comfortable with it faster, but that is not a guarantee. Whats the worst that could happen? you look a little goofy for a couple hours.
Make sure you use the humidifier, that way it will not dry out your nose and mouth if you are not doing so already.
Hope this helps and good luck.

thx so much for the reply....night #1 last night, don't think I slept much better than usual, not yet anyway.  sure took me a long time to get comfortable enough to even fall asleep. this is just a trial cpap machine for 2 weeks to see if it will help me at all. would sure be nice to sleep and feel better:)
How long have you been wearing one? do you use the full mask or the nasal mask?
I tried on the nasal mask and after abt 5 min with the cpap running I ran out of breath and nearly had a panic attack....I'm mostly a mouth breather so thats what happened. I will stick with the full mask. :((
