Can you post actual numbers for TSH and T4 and any other thyroid tests you've had (along with their reference ranges). Too often doctors tell us that everything is "normal" only to find that testing was inadequate or reference ranges obsolete.
With all your hypo symptoms, it sounds like you would benefit from being on thyroid meds now. You need to find a doctor who will treat based on symptoms, FT3, and FT4 in that order.
Many of us with Hashi's have nodules.
Your body is less able to heal when you are hypo. I don't know that this makes you more "susceptible", but it does make things hang around longer.
Yes, all the symptoms you related are consistent with Hashi's. Being on meds WILL control the Hashi's symptoms you've been experiencing. What being on meds won't do is lower your antibodies. So, the Hashi's will progress and your thyroid will continue to be destroyed, but you're symptoms will be alleviated and you will feel better.
Find a doctor that will start you on meds so you can go out and have some fun.
Thanks! I knew my numbers from december and they were in range ( i cant remember them ) but every doctor ive been to has refused me medication cuz my numbers were in the range and one doctor said the meds wont do anything for my symptoms. Thanks for the response
I sometimes takes time to get meds properly adjusted, but symptom reduction sometimes happens almost immediately, some things take a bit longer to go away. Your one doctor was whacked! Why would we take meds if it didn't help our symptoms? Ther idea here is to feel good.
