Hi, the total T4 isn't used as commonly as the Free T4, which is more accurate actually. But having said that, it is still useful to determine what your thyroid problems might be.
It may well be that you are on your way to having hyperthyroidism.
Do you have any symptoms? If it is causing you symptoms you may need to get some treatment.
There are many reasons your CK level is raised and it would be best to have a chat to your doctor rather than us speculating.
Thanks for the reply.
I've been diagnosed with ME/CFS, but i asked the doctor for some Thyroid tests, as really this should be ruled out to be sure i have ME/CFS.
So I have major fatigue, tiredness, brain function problems, no hair loss (though for years my hair has thinned on my head which i assume is just normal boldness being a male)
I guess with my T4 being high, i should ask my doc to do a Free T4 test?
Thanks
Joel
