Scar? What scar?!

check...it....out!!  taken 10/8/08, 13 days post-op.  you can barely see the drainage hole (on the left) and the last scab fell off last night.  granted i was a dumba** this weekend -- went to the apple festival and forgot sunscreen.  thus allowing my neck and chest to get sunburned.  this means the incision is a little discolored, but i'm hoping with enough vitamin e oil i can correct that!!  and is it me or is my head freakin' huge?!?  ok, ok -- i'm exhausted (go figure) heading to bed.  chins up and prayers/thoughts to all!  :)

You look great and thanks for posting! My scar is looking good but I have huge swelling at the base of my neck. I hope mine goes as flat as yours soon!

Normally i don't heal fast!!  I keep bruises forever and nicks from the razor leave little scars, lol.  This guy is good -- not bad for a 30-something ENT!!  Now if I could only talk him into performing that tummy tuck i so desperately need.....

throughout the day i put on just Kroger brand Antibiotic Cream and 1% hydrocortisone cream.  Then at night I take a q-tip and apply the vitamin e oil.  The creams keep it moisturized, that's also why it looks a little white too.  my doc said i could use scar guard but i don't see a need right now.

P.S. -- love your posters ;)

Wow - you heal fast!  Great scar.  I found the best sunscreen for the scar was actually using Chapstick with SPF30.  Didn't sting, kept it moisturized and kept it from burning.

Great job!!
