Hi! I'm sorry I'm 8 years late on this post. I'm a sufferer of Hashimotos but how it's been successfully treated has been very different, so I think I can offer you and anyone who visits this page some insight. My worst TSH levels was Dec 2021 at 27, 11 months after recovering from COVID. This was the beginning to finding more answers. I tried levo& Cytomel, Cytomel worked temporarily until I found out that focusing on my pituitary and hypothalamus gland was key to my balance. I learned from pubmed, Paloma, and Dr. Weston Childs & many others on what I can do. I take 4 caps of Nature's sunshine mastergland, 112.5mg of Vitex, and recently some supps for treating high Anti TPO which is selenium, stringing nettle (for testosterone balance), b complex (can help grow hair because of increased nutrients), and I'm on a really clean diet My numbers today are normal, anti TPO is still high which I'm hoping if I continue in 6 weeks I'll have at least close to normal levels.
TPOab is positive, which probably indicates you are in the early stages of Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
What's the reference range on your FT4? Ranges vary lab to lab, so they have to come from your own lab report. Total T4 and T3U are considered obsolete tests of little value. So, FT4 and TSH are all we have to go on.
I have had 2 TSH. April results were .96 and May they were 1.22.
T4 is 5.2
T3 uptake is 27
T4 Free is .96
TPO Ab is 69 ----this is only official out of range. Should be under 34
I know the numbers are not horrible, but the emotional mess and horrible hair loss is!

Did she test anything besides TSH? FT3 and FT4? If so, please post those with reference ranges. Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report.
What is your TSH?
I have always been very skinny. I am 5 9 and was 130. I gained 9 lbs in about 3 weeks. My doctor kinda laughed and as that was nothing, but it IS! And my hair!!!! I'm freaking out nobody will help me!!! She said my TSH is normal- take Prozac
Hashimoto's thyroiditis strikes again. What a meanie. My sister is in your shoes right now (I was for years) but her doctor prescribed her duromine to lose weight but did admit her thyroid is slowing down her metabolism. Doctors are very hesitant to give out medication with normal labs.
