Not proud of myself this week. This support group is wonderful though - helps me get back on track. Trying not to beat myself up over the mistakes.

TrudieC - let me know what you think of that drink. Hope you like it.

Well...I'm still on track in that I am wanting to lose weight and I haven't abandoned the journey.  I've had some pretty heavy personal issues that have drug me down quite a bit as of late.  For me...that usually equates into not really eating (sending starvation signals to my brain) and not working out like I should.  Next week will also be difficult, but I am absolutely determined to do what it takes to get the job done.  ; )

I have been trying to eat right and do some exercises, however the weight keep coming.  My next thing is to cut my body in half.

Everything started aboout two years ago. I had been pretty stable.  I only flutuated between 5 pounds up or down.  I got sick and gained 40 pounds in two months.  I kept telling the dr something was wrong.  Now I have gained a total of 84 pounds and its not pretty.

No matter what I do now I cant lose.  Right now my health stinks and I'm not sure whats causing all of this but I try to stay positive.

Whatever type of arthritis I have (will take a week or so for results) is wrecking havoc on my weight.  It is not in my joints but is in all the tissues of my body and has caused swelling and pain.  On top of that my husband made me go off my diuretics.  I am now about 6 pounds heavier that where I was.  PMoon suggested a pineapple and celery drink to help so today and tomorrow I am going to do a kidney detox and drink lots of water, fruit and veggie juices and the pineapple/celery drink.  I hope this gets things moving in the right direction.  I feel like a heavy puff ball....

I'm here!  Unfortunately, ALL of me is still here.  I haven't lost any weight yet in 2009.  I have been taking the advice and support from the forum.

In particular, I am trying to switch up my workouts.  Instead of doing one big workout, and the same one every time, I am trying to work out more than once a day and changing up what I do.

As all of my supportive MH buddies know, I am going through a difficult time health-wise.  I'm doing my best to stay positive and patient about my weight as I work through treatment.  My biggest goal right now is to get well and not regain.  Once I'm better, I'll start striving for more weight loss.

Thanks for the impromptu check in!

Well i started out in january..i think it was the 13th. So I have been at this for over a month. As of Friday I have lost 10 pounds. I have been struggling to excersize. I started out with a regular excersize schedule. Every other day cardio, and then strength. I have managed my eating fine and keeping myself in check. The last two weeks since my fiancee moved out I have not excersized at all. The stuff that I did was not difficult...but I just can't seem to get myself to do it. I want to keep losing, but I am always so tired I don't want to work out. I am not very depressed over it, but I try to spend as much time with my fiancee as possible and that requires me to not be home a lot. Id rather spend time with him then work out..Ive been telling myself I will get back into it but I haven't yet..and its frustrating. I want to lose another 25 pounds before I reach my goal. I hope to by June.. So there you are! My update! lol Thanks!

Well I know I had high hopes for this year in January but so far I've been slacking.  I thought I had been doing really horribly with over eating (fast food on top of it) but when I weighed myself this morning, it wasn't as bad as I had predicted, which was a relief.  Anyway, I'm planning on renewing my gym membership this month and have plans for a 2 day fast and new menu plan to get back on track.  I managed to lose 67 lbs in the past... I know I can do it again.

Hoping the momentum lasts,
Misty

Keep working on it!  You're doing a great job.  I just wanted to let you know that the confusing thing about adding weight training to your workout is that you gain a bit of muscle, which weighs WAY more than fat.  So while you may have been losing more fat than the previous month... you gained a bit of muscle which skewed your results a bit.  I if you're tracking your measurements... they'll have gone down by the same amount if not more than last month.  Good luck and don't let the numbers get you down!

Its hard because -

In the first 25 days of january I had an allowance of 43,565 calories and actually consumed 41,640 calories - weight loss 8.4lbs (Attended the gym 4 times -  started exercising at home)

In the first 25 days of February I had an allowance of 41,702 calories and actually consumed 39156 calories - weight loss 3.6lbs (Attended gym 7 times -  added arm and back weights, water aerobics 3 times -  daily exercise at home)

So in February I ate less -  exercised more and lost less!!!!! Agghh talk about frustrating!
