I got started late

     I got started late for the challange.  And i have been having a hard time trying to stay with the program.  I do fine during the day.  But after dinner at 5 or so. I remain hungry till i go to bed or have a unhealthy snack.   I am trying to go to bed earlier so as not to have these feeling of unfulled hunger and eat.  Worked last night hopeing for night #2  LOL.  I have chosen Atkins as it worked for me one time.  I do have to fight graves disease/  O had the oblation, and am now adjusting to meds.  Am fighting the affects to that.  I do exercise daily.  My dog makes me take hiim for a walk.  Thanks for bring here so i can share my feeling with others and maybe some feel as i do, that is is so hard some days to stick to the right path.

Hello Karen .. and welcome to the community!  It's never to late to join a challenge, just jump right in and follow the links.  Today is Day 8 and you can always go back and check out the previous days as well.

Have to agree that 3 small meals and 3 snacks will help keep you fuller throughout the day.  Perhaps you can eat a little lighter in the day and save a few extra calories for the evening when you are hungrier.  May I also suggest you start your weight tracker and mood tracker as they are wonderful tools to monitor our progress and can also be used to help us identify any emotional relationship with food during periods of overeating.

Walking with your dog is a wonderful way to exercise.  Great job!  Be sure and try adding a few other types of exercise in as well to keep your program well rounded.

Hi Karen...thanks for sharing this with us...know that we are always here for you and to support you...It is ok if you got started late witht he challenge still you can do it from week 2! Set yourself a small goal and give it a go!

As for the late night snacks i think it wud be better if you ate 6 small meal a day..like 3 snacks and 3 meals...protein bar is something i wud recommend in between your meals as it will keep your hunger away......
