I'm down about .4 of a pound today. Though a small amount, it's good news since in the past three weeks I lost weight and was hoping it wasn't going to jump back up. Mostly the loss has been due to activity and not eating as much, especially at dinnertime. That sounds pretty basic, but the activity has been a bit more difficult to accomplish because of having Covid. It's only been a mild case, but by 6 pm I'm as tired as usual at 9 pm, limiting how active I've been since I usually do a lot in the evenings. All in all, knocking off another half pound after losses in prior weeks is great!
Barb, that is so nice to hear about your eyes. When my mother-in-law had lens-replacement surgery, she said she hadn't realized how gradually her vision had changed, but then it was like she had been looking through a dirty car windshield and suddenly it was clean again. Amazing what a difference it can make to be able to see more clearly, or in your case, with more brightness. I hope you have really good sunglasses! The day I got a pair that had a 1.50 correction (instead of regular sunglasses off the rack at the pharmacy) was a big deal for me, I could see much more clearly overall when driving.
Neither my husband nor son tested positive for Covid, despite being in the same house with me. Husband has two shots and two boosters, maybe that's why. My son had a persistent sore throat three weeks ago, now we think it might have been Covid because it was a couple of weeks after they lifted the mask mandates at his school. If so, he's not in danger now of getting it from me. He has had two vaccinations and he got his booster this weekend.
We're hustling now on all fronts to accomplish our moving schedule. The houses on both sides of us recently sold, and both came in with bids higher than expected (we think the most recent one sold for $50,000 over the asking price). So it's not going to be sad to say goodbye, we're delighted to be selling it now. The carpeting is goes in at the new house on April 28, a date that had to be pushed back a couple of times because the sheetrockers were slow. I'm going to see if the movers can take us the following Monday. We're all tired of being in limbo.
Have a happy Easter, and I hope everyone is doing well this week!
