Sunday Weigh in September 24, 2023

Good morning.  How is everyone doing this morning.  I hope you've started out with a good day.  It looks like it's going to be beautiful, here today.  It was cooler last night down to 59°, so maybe it won't get as hot today.  Yesterday was the first day of fall and it was definitely in the air.   Our season changes are a bit more subtle than in other parts of the country, in that we don't have the massive color changes but we still have seasonal changes and many leaves do change color.  You just have to look harder and pay more attention.

Anyway, it's been a busy week and I'm not sure I accomplished a lot but I tried.  I'm still doing physical therapy for my hand/elbow that I had surgery on back in July.   I feel like the scar tissue might be breaking up a little bit, but that remains to be seen.   We also had our first calligraphy meeting of the new season, on Monday.  Tuesday was, both, PT and the acrylic painting class I'm taking.  Thursday night was an online (Zoom) Study Group we have on a monthly basis.  Yesterday was a calligraphy class that combined watercolor painting with learning a new style of writing.

Next week, doesn't look quite so full.

So - I've had a taste for Cheetos cheese curls and yep, you can imagine I've gone overboard with eating them... Not only are they salty, and cause me to retain fluid, I ate enough yesterday to give me acid reflux during the night.  With, both, acid reflux and muscle cramps, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night, so pretty tired today.

I see my doctor in October and I'm going to see if there's a mild muscle relaxer I can try at night to help with the cramps.   I simply can't continue having them keep me awake and only getting 2-3 hrs sleep every night.  Anyway, after I got sick to my stomach, early this morning, I did get a couple hours sleep, but sure don't feel rested.

Anyway, due to my cheese curl binge, I've gained a couple of pounds, so have to make a concerted effort to stay away from those this week.  I've also looked up and started some simple stretches in hopes of helping the muscle cramps.  That activity might also help with a bit of weight loss.   In addition, my neighbor (with whom I walk most days in the winter) will be here on Thursday, so we'll go back to walking every day.

Today, husband is going to help with making some adjustments to one of my saws, so hopefully, that will work better.   With Christmas just around the corner, I need to get busy and get some things made.

I hope you week was good and you accomplished your goal(s).

~~Wishing everyone a wonderful, successful week~~
