Hello,
The secondary dysmenorrhea is due to pelvic inflammatory disease, fibroids, endometriosis (abnormality of lining of uterus), pelvic tumors, and intra uterine device (like copper-T) etc. You should consult gynecologist for internal examination and other test needed to detect it's cause. Although ultrasound is useful in diagnosing endometriosis, but still cannot definitively diagnose endometriosis.Laproscopy is the only accurate way of diagnosing endometriosis.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Hello sorry to impose on your post, but this is a very similar case to mine.
I suffer from extremely heavy periods which I only have about 5 a year. I am 19, not sexually active and anaemic. I suffer from poly cystic ovaries and hirsutism. I had a period in May and not again until October which was heavy, left me cramped over, unable to walk, vomiting, extreme back pain. In a regular day I suffer from severe sudden pelvic cramps and a sharp pain in my rectal area. I was told by my doctor that it could be endometriosis but haven't been for any tests. I am due to see a gynaecologist next month. I think I also suffer from depression but I have not told anyone about this as I find myself crying very often and feel very low. I also suffer from constipation where sometimes I can not open my bowel for up to 8 days.
