excessive bleeding after first time intercourse

I had recently just lost my virginity to my boyfriend, it didn't hurt at first but he thrusted a bit hard, it hurt and happened two more times so he stopped. There was a lot of blood all over his sheets and there was this thing circular thing covered in blood. Neither of us have any sort of idea what it is but I didn't really examine it since I was extremely nervous from the sight of that much blood. I am still bleeding right now and its been about 24 hours after intercourse. At first the blood was a bright red but now it turned into a darker red. Its not that heavy, sort of the amount during the middle of one's period. I really have no idea why this is happening and why there was so much blood. It wasn't just a few specks of it here and there, it was all over his sheets and soaked through his blanket onto his two sheets and a tiny bit of his mattress. I am extremely nervous and would greatly appreciate any form of help or information any one has to provide. Thank you all so much.

its not very heavy, its a bit lighter and the blood itself isn't thick or anything, its kinda watered down looking. well if it was a tear or cut it would heal itself due to time right?

maybe it was too rough, and caused tears or cuts in your vagina? if your still bleeding really heavy then I would suggest to go to you gyno then, to make sure everything is ok.

no my period isn't due until feb 17. my period is a bit wacky sometimes but i think it was way too much blood to be my period. after intercourse it was dripping very fastly out of me which caused me to get very nervous.
