Try not to be nervous...You are already doing a great thing by taking the steps to stop:)
Hey there..
I have not been on this site in a very long time but have been clean from vicodin for 9 months. I know what it is like to jump from doctor to doctor to get multiple scrips etc. The funny thing in my case is my doctor never had a clue and when I actually told her that I did not want to take pills anymore she handed me a refill on my way out. My wife was SO PROUD of me to tell her and the entire thing backfired. She went with me the next visit and sure enough she gave another prescription w/refills. My wife was so confused but happy that I PERSONALLY had made a decision to stop. I did not stop right away, it took many months for me to finally just do it. Looking back I was so scared of living without them and to finally be free from the cycle is wonderful. I look at my 3 kids and know that I made the right choice! The very first step is admitting to yourself and once you are ready, you will stop. I wish you the best of luck and remember that their are many people in this community that can relate in numerous ways. My point is not to worry so much about talking to your doctor. They are so busy these days and write so many prescriptions etc. Hopefully you will have a good doctor unlike mine that will work with you and LISTEN to what you have to say. Great Job for writing your thoughts on the site and good luck!
I am glad you found this site too. We are all here for the same thing, only our names are different. sara

All you can do is be completely honest with her and tell her what you want her to help you with. What she does with that is up to her. Hopefully she will be understanding. Let us know sara
