really concerned for my friend

My friend has been abusing cocaine and crack for 8 years now and just recently he's been using more and more.. He claims that he only does maybe .3g of cocaine each time but he disappears and callls in weird hours being all paranoid saying that he's seeing and hearing weird things.. A few nights ago, he called me int he middle of the night and asking if I have a bible because someone switched all of his bibles to satanic bibles. So last night, i went over to his house to chck up on him to see how he's doing and he told me that when he was watching a movie,on cocaine he started to see evil things on his tv screen that was clearly not there so he got really scared and decided to read the holy bible and as he was reading trying to calm himself down he started to hear satanic chants and the words in the bible started to change into satanic words.. He also told me about this other episode when he was high and tried to sleep but couldnt 'so he decided to wash dishes. He claims that a pot that he was wash about to wash was left in the open for days and when he held the handle to wash it, it burned him. He tried to show me his burn yesterday but clearly nothing was there but he kept being persistent that there was a burn there.  There are many more episodes but I dont' want to share on here if anyone knows about what he is going thru can u please reply.  He thinks that the devil and demons are messing with him when he is in his most vulnerable state.

From everything that you are telling us, your friend is NOT using real Cocaine. Have you seen it, do you know how he's using it?  Whatever he is putting in his body is dangerous trash.  He is beyond outpatient treatment.  As per everyone above, he is a danger to himself and anyone he comes in contact with.  He is a Bomb that need to be diffused before it blows.  Please take this seriously and get him in a lockdown rehab before the $hit hits the fan.

I am an ex addict to crack n cocaine, when i was cracked up i use to see things and hear things that were not there! I use to think people were even breaking into my house. One time i tore up my kitchen floor thinking something was hid there. he def needs help more than whaty ou can give sorry to say. please talk to him about hospitilization since rehab isnt for him yet! best of luck to you! I think this needs to be taken very very seriously. Have you thought about what could happen if he comes into contact with another person while having demonic hallucinations?!?!?! He could easily murder somebody while in this state. This is a scary situation and even your safety as his friend is at stake. You need to alert authorities and arrange an involuntary commitment for him. You should record him talking about this stuff so you can prove how dangerous he is in case you are worried he will lie and say he isn't experiencing any of this to avoid being committed. He needs to be in a lockdown facility with close psychiatric supervision. If you really are concerned and really care for this guy then get him help before he ends up on the news for some sick murder/suicide.

You are a dear friend. But your friend needs help and I feel it is in the way of in-patient treatment. Whether that is psychiatric treatment or drug treatment, he would probably benefit from both.

As I say these words I cannot believe they are coming off my lips but I don't believe NA will help him right now. He needs to deal with the underlying issues and whatever else is going on first. If he is hallucinating that bad and hearing voices and such, he will not be able to hear or comprehend the message at a meeting. Aside from the fact that most meetings are closed. That is neither here nor there.

Are you at all close with his parents where you could talk with them?

i'm pretty sure he's just doing coke but from what I hear that stuff is cut with so much garbage that it isn't even coke anymore. And I know for a fact that he's not only doing .3g because he goes for like 24 hours so im guessing he's probably doing around 4-8 g during his binge.  Its scary because he thinks that the devil is actually messing with him and all the events that happen in his head are actually real.. His parents know about his problem and think that he has so much evil in him that he needs to go into a psychiactric institution because he used to live with his parents and he used to hallucinate in their house.. I've talked to him about rehab but I dont think he wants to go that route yet, so i told him that I will go with him to NA meetings everyday

You have very good reason to be concerned.  I know nothing about crack (Thank God).  The first time I saw how it was made I said NO WAY.

If your friend is "only" doing Coke, he's lying about doing only .3g.  Anyone that has gotten in to Coke knows that after 20/30 minutes (shorter if you're shooting it) the next line has to be bigger than last to get the same high. And so it goes until you run out and crash and burn.  Sleeping and eating don't happen when Coked up.  Sleep depravation can cause the kind of Tweak that your friend is experiencing.

I have watched many folks that I knew have similar experiences, paranoia, audio and visual hallucinations.  They were using Meth however, not Coke.  Is it possible that you're friend is using Meth and not Coke or Coke cut with Meth?  Your friends issues are Methamphetimine Poster Child classic Tweak Out.........

To your friend everything that he is experiencing IS real.  At this point he is a danger to himself and those around him.  If he does not get professional help soon he will end up in jail or dead, period.  I'm sorry to put it that bluntly, but I have seen many peolple run the same path.  How old is he?  Can his family put him involuntarily into Rehab?

my bad but any way sounds like he's really taking more than he is saying or something cause i have had experience with coke in my late teenage years but never heard of the hallucinating off it but maybe i wasn't doing so munch but then again can you be 100 percent sure he's not cooking it himself and freebasing that's what it sounds like to me but i wish you luck man sounds like your buddy really needs help have you asked him if he would go to a detox center or no..???

man your friend is getting so high on the crack he is hallucinating it is common in crack smokers and they get very paranoid and especially when they run out of crack to smoke, i had a cousin that was addicted to crack that's how i know this stuff and when he was done he would look through the carpet searching for a piece of crack which they always think that they dropped a piece but they never do .unfortunately my cousin ended up dying it got to far along then when he stopped everything inside was so messed up ,so he needs help and he needs it like now ,you know ,i know u probably won;t be able to talk him into anything usually u cant with crack smokers but just try your best  or you know sometimes with crack smokers once there so far along they get caught with it and have to go to jail for a while it ***** but sometimes that's there only help you know..i wish u luck bro i really do so just give it a shot hopefully he ain't to far gone..hard to tell ..that crack is the devils right hand...

he knows he has a drug problem but he insists that his psychosis episodes is the devil messing with his life everytime he's high.. I'm worried he's going to do something crazy the next time he's high because he's gonna end up in prison for a really long time. I'm wnodering if he has mental issues because his parents think he does but he claims that the stuff that happens to him are factual
