Appearance during our drug use???

the drugs we used did a lot of damage not only to our minds, but also our appearance during use. i remember having friends and family tell me that i looked like ****, lol and i know i did. i had lost a lot of weight, had those dark circles under my eyes and my skin looked so pale. sometimes i looked like a fr eaking zombie. i was also mean and impatient sometimes. ok i was an as shole during my use:). anyway i saw an old friend today i have not seen for almost a year and he said that i looked healthier. i have to admit that it felt good. what i really heard him say was "glad to see you are off the coke. it just struck me strange i guess that a lot people knew i was always hopped up on coke. although this was a tiny compliment, (too bad it was from a guy, lol), it made me feel good. just wanted to know if you guys can notice a difference in your appearance now or if you have had someone notice you are clean just by looking at you? maybe a dumb question, but im interested to see how fugly ya'll got when you used and how hot you are now, lol:), but seriously can u notice a difference in how you look now, compared to when you used???

I don't know about fugly but my changes were subtle.

I always take pride in my appearance and kept myself looking appropriate.

I did let myself get a bit out of shape but I'm working on that...

I lost weight when on the vic's. I went from about 115 to under 100. But no one seemed to notice anything was wrong as I am barely 5 feet anyway.

About 2 weeks ago my brother said to me "sis you are looking so much better, your color is good, no more bags under your eyes"  that was big coming from him as he doesnt say things like that.  My skin was the color of an elephant before i cleaned up and now i have color back.  My eyes are not hid behind the bags and they are no longer bloodshot.  I have lost about 17 lbs so far.  Im liking what i see in the mirror now.

No one has commented, but I see a difference in my eyes.  They are not cloudy and red any more.  They are actually clear.  My eyes are my nicest feature, so it's nice to see them as they should be.

This is a small change but a change for the better so I'll take it.

I think it's different with the pills ....it takes a lot longer than cocaine.  I've seen people go down very quick with the coke.......with the pills I think you are most likely to just let yourself go.  That was my deal, but I was able to grow my hair out of that damm 80's doo I have been sporting since high school......but thats the point ....I kinda let myself go, so I looked like chit in that sense.  I do notice my skin and eyes look a lot better....I was looking at some pic's from my husbands brothers wedding and gasped that my teeth were yellow and I looked like I was Chinese.....my eyes were so messed up....They are open, bright and I have life in my face......those pictures were very scary and I am embarassed that I looked that way.........nauty stop rambling !!!  I dont' know whats wrong with me today.......LOL.

i do agree it is i bit different with coke, my cheeks got really sunk in quick. i guess all drugs are different, look at crystal meth for instance, many lose teeth and get sores all over their face, it's nasty. sounds like pills cause weight loss or gain???

Weight gain for me....and lot's of it.  I can't even begin to tackel that right now!

I think it goes both ways with the weight thing.....and how hardcore you use.  I wasn't hardcore, but knew a few people who were and they were skinny and sunk in in the face like your talking about........just depends......I am glad I have good gene's.....it did affect me too much, so I am back to beautiful.......lol.

Man I used to be hot s*** lol. When I was on pills I went from a fit 196 to very underweight 150 at times. I was also very pale and my eyes looked horrible. I definitely look healthier now but I still need to get my diet right and start exercising. People didn't have to say anything to me, I could by the look in their eyes they thought I looked like s***.

SKINNY, that is one problem I wish I would have had.  I gained so much weight.  I was so sociable when I was on the hydros and I also stayed up all night.  Guess what I did when I was up.......EAT!

I also did alot of sleep eating for the 2 years I was hooked on the ambien.  

But guess what I AM going to get those pounds off.

Nauty's right, different drugs do different things to people, but you can tell with most people when they're getting messed up. I've always been pretty 'thick' in the southern region but when I was using I got really skinny, like protruding bones skinny.  Now everyone can tell I'm clean when I turn around!!!  :(  lol
And now that I actually have pupils, not pinpoints, people are always commenting on how beautiful my eyes are... I think they only say that to make me feel better about my fat a$$ tho....   :(
In the long run. I guess I'd rather be fat than high!  lol

Yeah, for some reason I gained weight while using pills. I always craved junk food, and I wasn't as motivated anymore to do pilates or go to the gym the way I used to be.

The main thing I noticed are my eyes. They are big and blue, and noticable. While high, they take on a grey-ish color, and the look foggy.  They seem clearer now, I have more color in my skin, too.

I am pregnant though, so I think the color in my skin could be associated with pregnancy- I got the whole glow goin on.

I lost 2 holes in my belt, can't gain back the weight....didn't need to loose any so am trying to eat everything I can, but just have not got the appetite back.

A friend who new I was going C/T told me I looked gray...DEAD! after I saw him in person @ 10 days.

My wife says my color is back and I look better but, she has this wrinkle cream she keeps trying to smear on my face!!   Ha!

I saw a picture taken after about 2 weeks and I have to say I did look pretty rough.

Oh man i saw a pic of me after a week and i really looked the part i tell ya.  I bathe in oil of old lady!!!!!!  Think it has taken care of the wrinkles on my butt!!!!

I wish i could tell a difference but i look the same   lol...only thing that changed when i used was i would flush easily...red cheeks alot....didnt lose weight or anything...hydros....still look the same...dern..wished i had improved and then even look like a supermodel  LOL

I am still tapering but went from 200mg of oxy to 50mg..I was told today that I dont have such a glazed look in my eyes but as for looking like I feel good not quite yet..I did while using the pills gain quite abit of weight..prob cuz I just sat on my rear and let it get wider cuz as long as I was high I didnt have ambition to go out and do anything..Like others have said though..will tackle that prob in abit once this one is under control..I do think its true and depends on what your choice of drug is...

i gained weight on the pills too... more than weight really, i just looked puffy.  my face looked fat!

i saw pic's of me recently during the time i was abusing, and my face looked like a balloon... lol  a real tank!

and i'm not a big woman.
