I am sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you are feeling better in that area.
You say "i dont think i can take the wd's and depression". You are already setting yourself up for failure. What will be the final outcome if you dont get clean? You and i both know that answer. Each relapse gets worse and worse, the dose gets higher until one day you are no longer here. You have it in you to get clean again. Start by saying "You CAN".....We will be here to support you.......sara
The number after the slash is the acetamenophin. This is the part that is hard on your liver. I truly feel for those like you with legitimate pain that have to choose between pain or addiction. Hopefully you'll heal up and won't need meds too much, but just weigh the benefits/risks and make the best decision. Just remember how horrible opiates are for long-term use. Tolerance is inevitable and pill-chasing ensues. Take care.
I have no advice except for STAY STRONG!!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! I know it's hard & I've nearly slip & fell MANY MANY times. . . .but we will all be here for you through your journey. Remember how good you felt to be free of the prison that you're in when you're on that stuff??? You can be there again!!!
It has been said so many times. Getting clean is easy, staying clean is the hard part. Much of staying clean is a 'mind set'. Honesty helps too. Honesty with yourself and to those around you, including your Dr.! (have you told him yet?)
When you had your accident, did you think to come here to get support while you were using for the pain? No! Well then, why not? It is probably because you weren't being honest to yourself. You know you have a weakness with these drugs. Did you think to treat them as your enemy? There really are, you know. Always have a healthy respect for your enemy. This is war, with you being what the war is about.
We want you to win this war. That means take all the help, all the advice, all the knowledge about the drugs and addiction and use it to win the war.
Thank you for your support and good advice. I'm happy to say that I reduced the amount I started taking after my accident and hope to wean myself entirely off the enemy as "goingtomake it" puts it. They are the enemy, God Bless you all and good luck staying away.
