I don't have experience with cough syrup, but I am glad you are looking for answers. I wanted to say hello and best of luck to you.

It's good that you ask, because many times when people stop opiodes they don't take seizures in to consideration.  I started having seizures 8 years ago which is about mid-way through my addiction time.  I'm not sure why even now, but more and more I believe it was the pills.  Are you living in a state that you can get this cough syrup over the counter?  Another really dangerous thing about that is all of the other ingredients/substances in the med.  Seizures are a possibility, especially if you have had a long addiction, which I see you have.  Is there a doctor you trust, or a pain management facility in your area?  Stay with us and let us help you, please?  You can do it, there are so many knowledgable people in this forum.

Good luck,
Lisa
