Cold turkey or taper?

I am on 15-20 Lorce 10/650's a day. I have quit a few times always cold turkey. It is almost like torture tome to do the taper. Like going thru hell- dt's everyday. The temptation of using is too hard for me to c/t. Since i am on such a high amt. how dangerouswill it be to c/t again?  I am sick and tired of using and really want to make it work this time. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! i have considered using suboxone to quit but am still unsure as to c/t , try my best to taper or suboxone???? I really would like some help in regards to this thank you all so much!!!

I have withdrawn from methadone, oxys, and suboxone, methadone is the worst as mention before and oxys is also bad but when I had to withdraw from suboxone I found it really easy compared to the other stuff, I mean yes you are still going to feel really sick but when I was withdrawing I wasn't having convulsions at all like I did when withdrawing from methadone and oxys takes about 2 weeks to month can't kill just feel awful

i have been taking 10-15 lortab 10/500 a day. i have quit and started back enough to know how much hell it is to do it cold turkey. i am on my first day again. i found a few methadone 10mg to help me through the next 4 to 5 days then i should be good. i hope! methadone withdrawal is worse then anything i've ever tried to quit so be careful. i try to do no more then 25mg a day for 4-5 days and that's it. i was in a clinic for 2 years and was on 100mg of methadone a day. quiting that was the most brutal thing i've ever done. they tapered me off 5mg a week til i was done. all it is, is a money racket.

I did a 4 wk sub taper after years of Oxy use.  Like sara said, the wd were brutal and long lasting, however, it worked.  I think if I had to do it again though, I would just quit.  No need to prolong the agony any longer.  Best of luck, guv

Wow. I'm on day 8 of WD's from norco/hydrocodone. The physical symptoms are not bad anymore..Tapering does not work for me, personally. I always end up taking all of the pills. And more!  I have heard suboxone reduces your cravings. Good luck. Keep posting!
