Day 12 off hydrocodone c/t

Well, it's day 12. . . I still feel "anxious" during the day & my pupils aren't normal yet. But I did get some sleep last night. . . and I've been out & shopping all day today so I'm hoping I'll be tired tonight. I don't feel "normal" yet but am hoping that comes soon. I just have to remember to make myself post on this forum, even if I don't want to b/c it DOES help to get encouragement from others that have gone through the same thing.

Hey there,

COngrats on Day 12!!!! You're well on your way to getting clean...

A lot of folks dread the Physical part of W/D, for me, it's always been the mental part (depression, anxiety, sadness, mood, etc). It'll just take time and try to keep as busy as you can. Remember that eventually, you will feel better.

For some of us, remembering what "normal" was very difficult; i used to think "normal" was me being as chippery and energetic as I was when I was high...but I forgot that there were days I didn't have energy, I was down, i was tired, etc...I thought "normal" was just being happy and energetic every day, but for me, that really wasn't normal...i was chasing something that I never had sober.

So now, when I have a down day or not feeling 100%, i chalk it up to being "normal" (if that makes sense)....

I stopped chasing "normal" and just tried living one day at a time and now, feeling pretty good, consistently.

=)

Good Luck (hope I didnt confuse you...lol)
