change in morning routine

Another ? to help me figure out if my husband is abusing his meds. He was always a morning person... didnt even need an alarm clock most days to get up at 5:30 am and always jumped out of bed rolling. I have noticed in the last several months that he can now sleep through the alarm for many minutes and he is sits in the dark zoned out for about a 1/2 hour or so till he seems to come really awake. This is all after he has taken his med. Someone once told me their BIL said they needed 4-5 pills in the morning just to get himself going and that phrase keeps sticking in my head as it seems like my husband is waiting till he gets himself going. Can someone describe for me what they are like in the morning between wake up, first dose and so forth?
Sorry for all the questions but since it seems that he might not have been completely truthful with me when I asked about it. So before I confront him with any problem he MIGHT have I want to be pretty sure and the only way I can do that is if someone on here is truthful about what I am seeing or think I am seeing.

I agree with disfunctional....I was the same way..., but i do know that not everyone is the same...Like my mom always told me " Go with you gut, not your heart, because your heart will always hurt you".....You know him best..I wish you the best...And we are always here for you!!!

You are probably right on.  I know I had to have my pills just to function in the morning.  I left mine downstairs which forced me to get up.  I was usually awake because the withdrawals set in during the night.  I would sit on the couch, drink my coffee till they kicked in and then I was good to go.  Good luck to you.  If you have more ? feel free to ask me.
Love,
Kim
