Can I do this? No one to talk to- please help!

So I finally did it- day 6 of no hydrocodone.  So very tempted to make a phone call to get some more.  No one (except from where I get them) knows about my addiction.  They gave me energy & now I have NONE!  I went yesterday & got a B12 injection, that did nothing for me.  How long will I feel this way?  So many things to do but don't want to get off the couch.  Please help!

Day 6...your over the hump. I would not call them ..you would have to start over. Loss of energy is typical for withdrawal. It will get better from here on out.
How much were you taking and for how long?  Their are great people on here that have been right where you are now. Im sure they will chime in soon.
Listen to your body you may just need rest. Fluids, b-12 sublingual,
You have made it this far it will only get better ...best of luck

Don't call them! You can do this! I am on day 2, no energy either, shaking like I am an old lady, body hurts and so on! You on the other hand are almost there! It may take a day or two or even longer for the shot of b12 to kick in. Just please stick this out! Do this for yourself and just know that it will be over soon. I have faith that u can beat this addiction!

Thank you for responding!  I would take on average 5-7 10/325 a day for 3 years.  Today is the worst day for cravings.  I keep battling with myself to make that call.  Trying to force myself up to get some things done around the house.  Does energy ever return to normal?  Not sure I know what "normal" is.  Was addicted to meth before the hydros.  Quit meth cold turkey & never looked back on that.

Your energy will return to normal. Some people it just takes longer then others. This is my second time cold turkey. This time I am having symptoms that I didn't have before. Please just stick to your plan and don't make the call. You are stronger then that! I know u are probably like me and don't want to get off the couch or outta bed, but I promise you that if you get up and do something small like doing the dishes or vacuuming the house that u will start to feel better. I have had to push myself today to even just get dressed, hey I even did my makeup and that made me feel human again. YOU are on day 6 I have faith that u will prevail. Like gnarly told me, it is 1/4 physical and 3/4 mental. Or something like that lol.

day 6 mac you are doing great!  energy Will come back, it will take a while, prolly longer than you are thinking right now.  for me it took about 30 days generally speaking.  walking is great, any exercise will bring you more energy if you can hack it.  I used to walk around the block like a snail when I was first detoxing.  it was a huge journey lol but it really helped and gradually I did more.  but if you need to rest you should do that too.  whatever your body needs right now.  you weren't on That much though you did ok but you were on it for a while ... 3 years ... give it time.  your doin good ...

I'm always so impressed whenever I read that people have made it over the day 3-4 hump, seems like that's the toughest part of the physical stuff, now comes the mental, full force.  Keep going, Day 6 is awesome, you quit for a reason, try to think about that reason, maybe even write it down and put it somewhere where it will be visible throughout the day.

Hi macilee, day 6 is great! Congrats on that. Please do not make that call, and you must cut off all sources for pills. This is absolutely critical!  Delete numbers, let you contacts know, etc.

Physically, things should steadily improve a bit each day. As far as fatigue, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is get up and get outside in the fresh air. Even just a short walk outside will help. The more you can do, the better you will feel.

Keep it up! You are doing great. All the best!

Everyday you choose not to use is another step towards sobriety.. Another day you are taking your life back. It's not easy but it's worth it. You are worth it. We all are... A positive attitude when it comes to these rough days will do you SO much good. Stay the course. Delete those phone numbers and take back your life.

You did the right thing by posting on here when you felt like calling your dealer.  The energy zap is really tough but like the others said it will come back.  I was horrified during my first withdrawal at the lack of energy.  I tried to shower and couldn't even lift my arms to wash my hair.  I felt like I was walking through mud..  I am feeling that way again and I know how discouraging it is.  It does come back a little every day.
Keep taking vitamins and eating as healthy as possible.  The more you do the more it comes back.
Hang in there.

The trick is understanding when your thoughts are drifting into psychological time (as opposed to chronological time) and bringing them back to reality.  Chronological time is necessary as it takes time to get from one place to another for instance, psychological time is the time between "I am this now" and "I think I should be that in the future" for example, or "I have been hurt in the past so I am afraid of that happening again".  It does not exist except as a concept.  Thought is uncertain about the future so it creates fear and this fear is what will drive you to take more pills because your mind treats them as the known, and that does not contain as much fear as the unknown...

TLDR keep active and doing things like has been suggested and you will stay with reality and feel much better.  Letting your mind wander with no direction just gives the fear ammunition.

I have to agree with them ALL
I will also add TIME & PATIENCE
We are all different in bouncing back due to many factors. I will not even tell you how long it took me to get a pinch of energy and I have a lil over 2 years clean..Just keep on pushing and never look back.
YOU will be BETTER and UP and going real soon.

Hey GREAT POST JETHRO!

That is SO exactly the truth.  Just to reiterate and reinforce that statement.
You can't change the past, you have NO control over the future, all you have is THIS moment right now and the choices that you make.  Do what you can to make this moment the best it can be.
Please get yourself involved in some kind of aftercare.  This isn't something that simply goes away because you stop putting drugs in your body.  You have to change your thinking which controls your actions, and that is not something you can do alone.  I came at my addiction from every angle I could and it did not take me long to get to the heart of what was feeding it.  I had to learn to accept that pain and realize while I could never eradicate it, I could release it and not let it have power over me any more.

I remember on Day 7 finally washing and blow drying my hair.  It took me 2.5 hrs (I had very long hair at the time) And then I went for a waddle around the block with my dogs.  I felt a million times better.  Sometimes you gotta force yourself to do things that you don't want to do because it feels good after and you'll be so glad you did.  The more active you can be during the day, the easier you will rest at night.

Keep moving forward...

just know that meth has REALLY screwed up your natural energy.  can take years to get back to normal, if you ever do.

your best bet is to get on a health kick.  diet, exercise, healthy food, etc.
that is your best bet at getting back to normal.
the amino acid protocol will help you as well.
i am over 100 days and still have no energy.  i detoxed off fentanyl and percocet though so it should not be as bad for you, but the meth did a number on you.  it will take time and nurturing to get it back
