What I'm going to include may be brutal and honest, but it is the only way i can rule out, target, and/or locate my problem's source. For two months now, I have been in and out of the hospital. I've had several tests done that came back negative, and even lost my job over this. It began quickly. And quickly got worse to a certain point, and has stayed hovering at that level ever since. The one thing I didn't get checked for just might be what I should do. (Or should have done a long time ago)..... At the beginning, it started in my nostrils. I thought it was just a little thing that would go away within a day or two. Within a week, I was in the hospital, a walk-in centre, and a dentist. It quickly "spread" from my nostrils to my sinuses and to the back of my throat. The "worse" of all of this at that point was my throat. And when the dentist looked inside, she immediately pulled away and said: "You need to get to the doctors....Like, today." - (Not too professional if you ask me, but at least she was being honest)..... We both looked into my throat and the very back (wall) of my throat looked like a strawberry. It was red/purple with white (looks like blisters) marks (scratches) all over it. I do not have tonsils. I do not have allergies. So, I went to the doctors and they took a couple swabs from me and tested me for a few things like: Strep Throat, Thrush, Yeast Infection, and something else along the lines of "Steppococal"?.... The tests came back negative. The next doctor I seen, I told him (Oh, and I told the dentist before, too) about the history of drug abuse that trails behind. And the potentially damaging coping method I used. For several years, I was a bad Opiate addict. Everything from Oxy's, morphine, Hydromorphone, Perks, T3's, Codiene Phosophate, and a couple others. And I snorted them throughout my addiction. I did, however, and I'm very proud to say - "stop" doing pills about 2 years ago now!! :) Well.....Virtually, anyway. What I'm referring to is the way I "stayed away" from those pills. In order to stop being addicted to pills that got me high and gave me terrible withdrawals, I started leaning on another "satisfying" method - Tylenol Number Ones. (They don't get you high, but they give the satisfaction of 'snorting'. Here's where it gets to sound like "Whoa!".... That 'replacement' method began as soon as I stopped the "real" opiates. So, for two years, I've been snorting T1's constantly. There were, although it wasn't like this all the time, occasions when I would buy a bottle of 200 T1's and they would be all gone withing 3 days. So, I told this to the doctors, but they said it was highly unlikely and that they've never heard of any one who had all of that from too much snorting. I was also told that we may be looking at more than one pressing health issue that's currently active. (Possibly even more than 2)..... I've never had allergies, but I have to get a test done anyways. And here's why: The "Symptoms" of whatever I have seems to peak when I go outside for more than 20 minutes at a time, my nose burns, my eyes get watery instantly, and every now and then I have a sneeze fit. Also, the "symptoms" seem to be at their worse when it's night time. Sounds like Allergies, right? But, allergies don't generally give your throat that "Strawberry look".....So, if I have allergies, then there must be something else that's also "fighting" me right now...... SINUSITUS - I looked into it, and still need to get tested for it, but my symptoms also seem to greatly match those of a Sinus Infection. On the other hand, if that's what it is, then it must be one hell of a bad case..... Here's why I think I might have a terrible sinus infection..... My average sleep during these 2 months is nearly 3 hours at a time (but less than that for the most part). This is due to me lying down, I believe. As soon as I lie down, even as I'm getting comfortable under the blankets, my nose will clogg. (And sometimes it cloggs completely!!!) If I'm lying on my right side, the right nostril clogs. My eyes hurt and I can "feel" them when I blink. (Meaning I can feel the skin tightening and pulling). My cheek bones hurt to touch. My nose/nostrils hurt to touch. The tops of my ears are in pain as well as the top front half of my skull and forehead. It also hurts to swallow (but, again, not sure where that whole throat deal fits in)..... If I don't do anything at all to treat the pain in my nose and face, then the discharge from my nose increases and it noticably yellow. I get headaches from time to time, but not as much as sinus aches. (These are all significant with Sinusitus) How do I treat it? By repeating history. In order for me to gain slight relief from all of this, I MUST snort a few T1's. It's no longer a habit. It has become necessary. If I don't "coate" the inside of my nostrils and throat, the pain is completely and utterly unbearable!!! Extremely painful!. So, presently, I am only doing several at a tme to "ease" up the pain. But I am still doing them. I want my life back.... I don't want to "Have" to snort in order to get dressed or take a bath, or do laundry....... Or eat. It's not normal to live like this, and I wish I could just get better instantly. Personally, even if they are right and snorters - no matter how much they snort - don't develop such health issues, I'm still going to tell them tomorrow and get that out of the way. Not only do i need to tell them everything, but I also need to stop these habits now! So.....All that, I'm not sure if I'm suffering from everything I mentioned collectively? Or if I'm only suffering from one thing that jsut happens to be in a bad way. Health Problems that I've already had that may shed light on anything: Irritable Bowel Disease, Acid Reflux Disease, Scoliosis in the neck, Depression, Irregular Heartbeat, And low vitamin counts. Can someone please help me....Do you know, or have known, any one who is/has gone through this? What are any options? Please don't hesitate. I need to know.
