Help please. Day 6 of opiate withdrawal.

Hello all. I would just like to say I'm on day 6 of opiate withdrawal. A little back ground I'm 26 female who needs to use daily. Ive been addicted to any kind of opiate for the last 4 years. I Bang (IV) anything from oxy, methadone, morphine, and heroine anything that I can get my hands on for the day. I've tried to quit numerous times over the last year but fail every time. I'm sick of pawning my precious items being broke everyday waking up feeling like **** and only caring about my next fix. I never thought I would grow up and be a drug addict. I don't really have a support system which is why I am here. My friends and family have no idea so rehab is not an option also I have a really good job that would let me go if they knew I had a drug problem. So quitting on my own is the only way. Every time
I try to quit I make it to day 6 and cave :( ... I guess I'm just really looking for someone to talk to and give hope. I'm sorry if I am rambling and my post is hard to follow my head is all over the place and I have gotten very little sleep these last 6 days. I appreciate anyone's comments. Thank you. AA

Debbie it's so nice to have a reply .. I go a little crazy with just myself lol ..the nausea is gone .. Thank goodness that it only was for the day. Since sleep did not come tonight I'll be getting up soon ... Going to the store is one of the first things I'm gonna do ... I'll pick up some probiotics and some ensure ... Maybe the ensure will be easier on my tummy... I'm praying I don't get the flu or any stomach virus until the withdrawals start to ease up.. I just turned in my heating pad .. So I'm hoping that helps ... Im gonna give it the rest of the day and when tomorrow comes see how my stomach is and If it's not better I'll go see a doctor .. Thank you so much for your kind words they mean so much

I am so sorry Ashleigh that your stomach is hurting so much.
Is the nausea better?
I would suggest probiotics acidophilus. We have a chewable,
Nature's bounty. Also using a heating pad. Go to the pharmacy and get an over the counter med for stomach cramps.
It is possible you could also have gotten a stomach virus. It isn't uncommon to get sick during detox.
If you don't feel better very soon a doctor's visit might be in order. You would have to be honest with them about your detox.

I am proud of you Ashleigh.
I pray you feel better soon.
Hugs,
Debbie

Ugh these intense stomach pains are really getting to me ... My stomach is very bloated and the pains go from very intense to dull and achy and back to intense... it's been like this non stop going on 3 days... And I know I'll get asked this... I'm going to the bathroom just fine.. On top of withdrawals it is almost beginning to be to much ..I really need something to give .. Day 11.. Still clean

And the times I spend in the clubs in NY. And my famely was stating to get warry when took my old dolls from my childhood. And it looks like 40y fimale getting crazy. But all I had done was making me happy, bring a lot of good memory. And I did well. All this ideas I got from Internet and many, many people like me.

Hi and welcome,
I am so glad you got all this support when you came on this site.  Like you this was my first step and it took a lot of courage for me to put that first post on here.  Congrats on ten days and keep it going!  You have found the right place and I hope you stick around.
You have a great attitude and it is very important to keep your health up the best you can and your hygiene.  Soon you will be through the physical acute withdraws and you get to start the work on the second stage of withdrawal which is called the Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS). During this stage you'll have fewer physical symptoms, but more emotional and psychological withdrawal symptoms.

Post-acute withdrawal occurs because your brain chemistry is gradually returning to normal. As your brain improves the levels of your brain chemicals fluctuate as they approach the new equilibrium causing post-acute withdrawal symptoms.
I wish you the best of luck and please keep coming back.
