It took me considerably longer than 25 days from my habit - look up the definition of Anhedonia and see if it rings a bell .......

31 days is great, Congratulations. But with heavy use as you stated, it may not be enough time. I only usd for about 3 months and it took me 25 days. Bt there were so many hings I should have done like exercise that i didn't do. It will get better, jsut give it more time. You sound like you are doing pretty well.

Your frustartion is very understandable, and the fact that you're over a month into your process shows you're using exactly what you need to be using; Patience.  I presume from your description of a "heavy hydro addiction" that you were either taking large amounts at a time, or were using for a long period of time -- or both (?).  We all process the removal of these meds from our bodies differently, at different "speeds".  I would try to continue to stay as patient as you have to this point, and realize that you're doing great!  Maybe try and return to your old habits very gradually - if you used to walk a lot, for example, start with a short walk.  Then feel good about it, because you should.  The key, I believe, at this point is to slowly resume your previous lifestyle in a gradual manner, and give yourself credit for each small achievement.  Again, the walk is an example.  Remember - this is a process, and processes take time.  Whatever your habits and lifestyle involved before your current situation (besides your job), do your best to slowly return to your old patterns -- this will give you confidence and peace of mind because you will begin to re-introduce yourself to your life before your hydro use got in the way.  You stated that your "couch potato" self is not what you were like before you began using the hydro, so I think there is every indication that you will surely return to your old self -- just do your best to remember, by resuming old habits, what your old self was!  It's all in there - just tap into it slowly, and continue giving yourself the credit you deserve!  God bless - smj

Congrats on 31 days!!!  That is great.  Your energy will come back.  Try and get out and walk if you can even if it seems like a chore.  The exercising really helps.  I even park way in the back of a parking lot so i have to walk farther to get where i am going.  Are you taking vitamins??  We abused our bodies so it does take awhile for us to get back to normal activity.  Dont give up as it does get better with every passing day.  Stay strong as you are doing great.                     sara
