Hydrocodone addict

Hello I've been reading the posts for a few weeks in preparation. And I'm now only 24hours off them as I write this. At this point I feel a little restless but I'm confident I can do this with the help of my love. I was reading the posts and crying this morning because I kept hearing my all to private and debilitating secret being told over and over. It's really comforting to know that I'm not alone. So the main difference in my story from the others I've read is the number I take every day. Up until about a year ago I was pretty steady at 15-20 a day. I'm at the point now that I'm not really sure how many but I'm sure I took 30 a day at least on average probably up to 45 or more even. I stopped keeping track, probably because I didn't want to know how badly I was/am treating my body. So I guess I don't have any questions really, just wanted to share and hopefully help someone. Please comment, it would really help me get through this.

I'll take all the help I can get :)

Thanks,
Sean

You may probably be one of the rare ones who are extremely lucky to have only mild withdrawals. With Hydrocodone you should be way farther into some unpleasant symptoms by now and on top of that you are sleeping. That tells me you will probably get off lucky this time. I have not slept for 8 days before even on just hydrocodone!     Even though it is easy this time you should never go back because it may not be so easy next time and that is also a poisonous dose of acetaminophen you were taking. Great job on getting those 37 hours in friend. !  Keep it up and never go back ;))

Hi! You are not alone. You are brave. I know exactly what you mean by not keeping track. I know how it feels when the bottle is running on empty. Stay positive. I've decided to start my clean journey also. Work or no work I can not help others unless I help myself. Welcome to the forum.

Congragulations on your decision to do this. It's so far, been a journey for me that has been...um, different, lol. But so far, everyday clean has been better than my best day using! It helps a lot to have a partner/spouse with u sooooo much, that was a very good idea to get her involved. It is hard but doable and very worth it! Good luck on your journey!
