I CANT BELIEVE HOW HARD IT IS TO GET HELP

I WAS ALL SET TO GO INTO THE ONE RETREAT THAT I FOUND WOULD TAKE MEDICARE, MY DR CALLED THE RETREAT PER REQUEST OF THE RETREAT, THE RETREAT CALLS ME AND TELLS ME IT WOULD BE BEST TO DO THIS FROM HOME TAPERING WITH MY DR.   I HAVE TRIED IN THE PAST ON MY OWN AND I CANT..... ANTONE KNOW A RETREAT THAT I VAN GET INTO TO GET OFF METHADONE EVEN IF I HAVE TO TAKE OUT A LOAN FROM THE BANK     I AM SO SICK OF THIS

Hi I am so sorry you are having such a hard time...Ohhh that so awful..
That is a stange one for me about the DR..My Dr did not even know were I was until I called her from the place an told her..UMM...It is your life..Not right for the DR to take control...If you do have to pay for it try to find one that does detox methedone OK..As I said before they new very little about methedone were I was..They took me because they thought I was only at 15mg..When I got there they looked in the computer and seen I was up higher..I just had to go way out of the town to another DR..Lots of people did. The Dr there could not give the subs if needed..I just came off of it with nothing...I would get another DR for sure and see what they say..It could take a big weight off you and maybe they can get you back in to the one that takes the medicare.or such...Good Luck..My prays our there for you..

I HAVE TRIED TO TAKE 30 MILG. FOR THE LAST THREE DAYS, ALL I DO IS CRY AND I AM SHORT WITH MY FAMILY,  I HATE MYSELF FOR LETTING THIS HAPPEN.  HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THE NOVUS PLACE FOR DETOX IN FLORIDA?

Oh you need to report him/her to the medical board.  He/she's interefering in your medical care.  Call Medicare too and lodge a complaint.  How ridiculous that the doc sabotaged the retreat for you.  UNreal.

I SWEAR TO GOD THE RETREAT TOLD ME 3 DAYS AGO NOT TO DO IT ON MY OWN DUE TO MY HEALTH ISSUES EXC. THEY NEEDED MY DR TO CALL THEM FOR MY RECORDS AND TO BE SURE SHE WOULD NOT PRSCRIBE TO ME ANYMORE, SHE CALLS YESTERDAY AND THATS WHEN THEY CALLED ME AND TOLD ME TO DO IT OUT PATIENT WITH MY DR.  DO YOU KNOW OF A RETREAT THAT WILL HELP ME AND I AM GOING TO START THE PROCESS OF FINDING A NEW DR.

I don't understand?  Did they need some kind of referral or pre-authorization from your Dr first?  So did he tell them that he didn't think that was the best option for you?

You need a new doctor.This guy sounds plain evil .  So sorry  about this.  I wish there were legal recourse you could take.
