I need help getting off cocain

I need help or at least advice on how people have stopped using cocain.
Recently I've become addicted and only recently realised I have. I've always been a social user, every weekend for 10 years on a weekend, would never use through the week. I had a big operation  4 months ago and had my ovaries out, I'm only in my 20's. I then lost my job and developed ocd, think depression as I hardly ever leave the house, I kept buying to feel good and as I didn't work the next day didn't matter, now it's almost every day and becoming a normal part of life, I have close family that also use, the friends I use to party with I've cut from my life, but family I can't cut them from life and it's hard. How do I stop, I have an addictive personality and easily persuaded, both parents are alcoholics, fortunately I never drink. But it's taking over my life, i don't want it but have to have it. I can't go to a help centre as I can't have people know.I hide it well at the moment, but people are realising I'm not the person I was. Please tell me how you may have stopped.

Oh and I'd suggest not worrying about hiding, everyone in my family knows, it's something you can't hide forever

I had to move out of state with my other side of the family, luckily I had this option. Had to move up here again, I can't stay away from drugs in the other state. Real bad with pain killers, coke, research chemicals, especially benzos. Realistically I will use everytime I'm in that state near larger cities. Which ***** because my family I've been with my whole life is down there. That's how I've been clean, 2 months, longest I've been clean since I was 16, 8 years later. Find a good spot you can feel comfortable to quit and good luck

It sounds like in addition to NA/AA you could really benefit from the support of Alanon, for the loved ones of alcoholics. You are on both ends of the addiction and could use support from both angles.

God bless and good for you for deciding you want to work the road to recovery.

Bears is right, we all seem to think we hide it so well, I'm pretty sure everyone around you knows, they may not know the extent of it, but they know. You must cut all ties, you said you have family that uses and you're gonna have to cut ties with them as well, at least for a little while. And who cares if you run into someone you know at a help center, they are there for the same reason. Believe me I know it's hard, but you gotta get some outside help, some sort of counseling or meetings, they will help you. Please be strong, and keep posting anytime day or night!! Good Luck!~Sherry

Welcome! Now don't fool  yourself saying you hide it well cause we all thought we did! (not trying to be mean just personal experience) They know you are not you! First off you have to want to stop! You HAVE to cut all your sources and I mean all for this to work.....I was not addicted to cocain but pain pills I am sure the same apply to wanting to stop. Hopefully someone on here has and can help with the WD. Keep posting and I wish you all the best!
