day 22 and want to keep going

Hi Everyone,

Just reading posts today to keep me going....you all inspire me!  I am just over 3 weeks of clean time. Week 3 is SOOO much better in every way. I have so much more energy, appetite, sleeping better, working and able to be more social. I even went for a short run and exercising more...getting stronger too. My WDs lasted well into 2 weeks. Wish it was faster, but just grateful that I am turning the corner. Went CT and so glad I did.

I do still live with pain but managing it with acupuncture, ibuprofen and tylenol PM at night for sleep. That is a miracle for me. WOW! can't believe last year and 2 spinal fusions. Glad that is behind me.

I feel grateful to be alive everyday...even with the pain. At least I am not masking it anymore. Happy today! Praying to stay clean one day at a time...

Thanks for listening.

Thanks for sharing how great you are doing!!  Knowing your good results from the acupuncture will be something I'm gonna store in my "when I have money and can try it" reserve.  Chronic pain can be depressing, but nothing like taking gillions of pain pills.  You sound REALLY good....thank you for sharing your joy and congrats on your just over 3 weeks clean time! Progress not perfection~

The acupuncture is helping a ton! Make sure you find someone who has lots of experience and can explain everything super well...you deserve the best for sure. My pain is residual from surgery plus horrible nerve pain. The nerve pain is actually tolerable now....which makes all those needles worth it. (I hate needles) The soreness from the surgery is not too bad and gets better if I take rests and take care of myself. The best of luck to you!

I so understand the money thing. I've been out of work for almost 8 months and it has been very humbling and scary for me. I had to leave my job because of my medical condition. I was SO desperate to take care of the pain without resorting to narcotics that I am spending money (that I don't have) on acupuncture....but I have only a few more sessions and it is over, thank god! I can't keep spending what is not there. I hope you are finding some pain relief anyway. BTW- I really love your posts! You're so supportive and give great advice. Keep it coming : )
