17 days clean

On day 17 free from oxy and roxy. I just went for a 2 mile jog. (sucking wind) but thats OK. I put my self into a 5day detox center and what an eye opener. I go to IOP 3 days a week and meetings. Like us all I did not think i could do it but I am. When your clean you shine there is a glow and you begin to have life back in your soul, I wish the best for all who are at that point of quitting trust me the 3-5 of WDS days goes quick and you will look back and say WOW im here. Dont try it alone you will need a strong support group to help you,

Congrats on day 17. I was using hydro and oxy for 6 years or so and quit cold turkey at home on vacation. There was no way I could have walked around the block for the first 12 days. I got into church and NA and was clean for about 50 days and an old college friend shows up at my condo for 2 weeks with all the drugs I love and after he leaves I can't stop and make a buy. Another week goes by and I pull my head out of my *** and go all over again. The first 3 days were just like before but day 4 I started feeling like my old self. Point being there is no Superman and no matter how long it's been it will always call your name when you are at your weakest so stay strong my friend and continue with the wonderful aftercare you are doing as I have just started back in NA and admitted I can not do this alone without support of friends(good ones), family, and your God or a higher power to surrender to. I agree when your clean you shine as people who did not know of my addiction told me I seemed sharper and brighter. One guy I've known 8 years said I would stop talking in mid sentence or interupt others. It's great to be clean but it's even greater to stay clean. I am wishing all the luck I can give
