Just looking for some support....

Hi everyone! I'm currently detoxing from percocet. I have been a long time user and finally have decided this is enough.  I have not used in a little over 24 hours. I had cut down quite a bit in the last week. I'm kinda of struggling right now with the withdrawal symptoms. The most annoying and persistent symptoms seem to be anxiety, lack of appetite, and just feeling like i don't want to do anything. I kind of had to force myself through parts of my day. I'm pissed at myself for letting this happen again. Previously I was clean for 1 year and slipped about 15 months ago, started using everyday. Didn't take me long to get back up to an unhealthy quantity of pills everyday, spending stupid amounts of money. Anyways, just looking for some encouragement, my boyfriend who is my biggest supporter is out of town for work so I am really struggling because my family has no idea I've been using and neither do most of my friends so I really don't have anyone to help keep me on track right now. I deleted all my dealers from my phone last night, and it's good I did because I was really craving earlier and looked in my house phone to see if their numbers were in there, but thankfully they weren't. I'm also sweating a lot, going from hot to cold, bit achy. I've heard once you get past day 3 it gets easier. I sure hope so.
Thanks

Congratulations on your getting to 48 hours!! You have passed the Dday 36 hour mark so you are on the upswing! I am really feeling good at my 6th day clean! The hydration really helped me I think! I drank Gatorade non stop! Keep it up! You are getting there!

I have never had an opiate withdraw, but I have heard the nightmare stories!  I have faced my own personal demons, even if they were not drug related.  I'm still facing them.  I think it is awesome that you are stopping, and I pray you get through it.  Of course there are no magic words to help, but do know if you need to scream, vent, throw up, swear at the world, etc., I'm here for you.  :-)

I feel for you. You prolly remember what to expect. Look up the Thomas recipe as it well help. Read all the posts and count on feeling down for the first few days. You will get stronger day by day. I'm on day nine off Percs and went ct along with bronchitis and fever starting on day 2. It sucked but I really want this now. I always take the harder way. Good luck!!
