10356 has 5 yrs clean!!!

I want to take this time to celebrate Lesa's clean time.  I also want to let you know about this amazing woman.  She and i met almost 5 yrs ago here.  I was first drawn to her by her pics of her dogs, Bonnie, Kallie and Wulf(my dog!)  At night i would scroll thru her pictures and those pictures came to life.  Soon we started conversing and found we had alot in common.  My life hasn't been the same since.  She has to be the most caring person with the biggest heart i have ever seen.  Her spirit is so calm and serene.  She has climbed out of the depths of hell.  I am in total awe of her as i am not so sure i could do what she has done.  She has grace, elegance and strength and it radiates off her.  I am so proud to call her my friend so on this day Lesa, i want to celebrate you and all that you are and all that you have given to me.  You have been my rock, my shoulder to cry on and you understand my twisted mind and never judge.  I wish you peaceful moments and improved health.  I love you to the moon and back my friend~

Congratulations Lesa! 5 years is a wonderful milestone. It shows everyone on here that it can be done, that we do recover! All those minutes, hours and days can, and will add up if we simply don't get in the way of our recovery. Over time I've had the pleasure of visiting your page and pouring through your photos. You're quite a wonderful and creative photographer. In true recovery we take our addictions and turn them back into positives, things we have a passion for and that our addiction steals from us. You took it back, and then some!! Keep enjoying your recovery Lesa.

Congrats Lesa!  That is a MAJOR accomplishment!  I've been reading your posts for years here also, and I've never seen you be anything but compassionate, kind and helpful, even when maybe YOU didn't feel so great yourself.  You are an inspiration to people here every day.  You have a heart of gold.  You and sarah are like the forum's "dream team" IMO.  Two peas in a pod...Laverne and Shirley!  Lucy and Ethel!  :0)

wow Thank you Everyone !! Thank you Sara.. Gosh I' feel as if I may cry. I was not expecting this at all so Yes Thank you ! I love you Sara I love all of you. The last couple of months I have been really struggling with my health and have had a very difficult time. I'm in stage 4 kidney failure and due to the toxin buildup sometimes I have had a difficult time although I think I'm getting a handle on it ! I find out next week if I have moved to stage 3. Thank you for the mention of my pics. I had made them private as I struggled with my toxic brain but now that I'm feeling a lil more stable I will put them back up. I have not been around much but I want you all to know I read everyday and I would not have made it this far if it was not for everyone of you.. MY friend Sara. she makes me feel special. This girl is so Grateful for her friendship. Thru her compassion she has helped me more then I have words for. I have had a really rough year after the losing Sammy but I'm so Grateful I was clean when she died.. If I can get thru her death I can get thru anything as long as you all are by my side. I'm glad you mentioned your pics being gone...cause the other day I looked at your profile page again and there wasn't much there...it concerned me.  I'll look forward to you re-posting whatever you are comfortable sharing :)

I will be so anxious to hear the results of your bloodwork next week...and praying your eGFR hits that magical number "30"...my hub has been able to maintain Stage 3 numbers for a year...not improving....but maintaining...and we'll take that, won't we?

I understand health issues affecting your "participation" in things....but whether you are posting...or pullin in and taking care of YOU.... please remember how many of us love you~

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!  I also would like to say Happy Birthday as well..You had a double banger this month. I would like to tell you from the bottom of my Heart that YOU have to be one of the Strongest Ladys I have even talked too on here.. Not only did you have on of the most tragic things happen in life, you also struggle with Health Issues. Even those pics with those screws in your foot..OCH!! I will never forget that note when you said that there are others that have been thru worse and I have much in Life to be Grateful for so this is balance.. I am speechless..
