19 years WOW! I thought I was doomed for using for 5 years. I too am feeling like you today. It is only 21 days for me. I just know that I have a wife and a 5 year old girl who expect me to do this. Today I am weak. Tomorrow  I will be a day stronger. Be clean for today.

I was on these pills for 19 years.....I am isolating because I do not feel like myself.  I'm afraid of who I am without them now.

How long did you use?
Are you doing some things to help boost your natural opiate receptors like exercise, music, laughter, etc?

It helps to learn as much as we can about the healing of our neurotransmitters....but the article I was looking for isn't there this morning?  I was going to refer you to our Health Pages here on this forum but they seem to have disappeared???  Not sure WHY but I have contacted MH with that question.

Just know that emotions get wacky.....then may we may be blah and numb as we "grow thru the healing stages"....but you WILL begin to "fire" up there again...LOL

Oh! That was not nice of your Hub! He should Support You.
I know when I came clean back in 2012 my Hub had watched a lot of Addiction Videos. Plus he was there when the Specialist told me it could take up to a Year or Two for my Brain Wiring to balance back. Because he understood it a bit, he was the one who kept pushing me and making me understand that it will take TIME!!!
The Energy thing does take Time to come back..We have been using synthetic energy for a long time. Even if you are taking some good vit/min, this too takes time to kick in. Just make sure you keep Eating very Healthy and are getting some kind of exercise in..This will help to up those Happy, Energy Chems/Hormones. Just have Patience my Friend because it does take a bit longer then we think. It will come BACK!!!
