I am just curious... I was not logged on the forum when paulandsabrina situation came about, but, I have had friends pm me about it... I looked thru 10 pages of members and do not see this paul person. Was this a hoax or what? I know flmagi really tried to help him and my heart goes out to her for her incredible effort!!! We love you magi!!!

Oooww....I forgot about the illegal part... I still dont think he would do without by all means, we have the salvation army and united way and community action services that provide hot meals and bed, I dont think they check for citizenship... good question.
As far as the British Embassy is concerned I dont even know where it would be? I hope that dont sound dumb, but, I really dont know about that. I know other countries have US Embassy but I have no idea about here in the US?

My only comment is that if (and I feel he was) this Paul was genuine - then this forum has more than paid its freight for its existence in one instance - and there are many other instances where this forum helped less damatically in some stage of recovery - it sure did for me. Huge "well done" to all - - Opi is one of a kind!

No OPI is Canadian and Paul is a brit like me... that's why I was wondering because in the post that was deleted Paul said that he was there illegally, so was wondering what help he may get with that..I don't know where he would stand with that... wonder if he could go to the British Embassy and get some help..?

We also have government assistance... he would not have to go without. There are homeless shelters and if he could find another place to stay, he could get a food card, like a debit card for food at the grocery store. I know there are people who sleep under bridges in the big cities, but, they dont have to... I guess they just want to. He could get help here too... I thought he was canadian? and opi too?

No problem.. I'm sure everything will work out - well, I hope so anyway!! OPI and his wife were going together to give Paul some food... there are no words really for that kind of kindness, also Magi too was a shiny star.. did brilliantly.. hope Paul gets all the help he needs.. I'm not sure of his situation here in England but we do have a good system and people are given accomodation and money and the help they need.. I wonder if he will come back here or stay in the states? I don't know how it works where you are.. what happens if someone is homeless or has no money? so sad and **** !!

Thanks so much for letting me know... because after I read the post I was really worried that something really bad had happened and then when I tried to go back and read the other posts, it was gone... I really am a compassionate person and do not want to see others hurt and no one there to help... again ... thanks for clueing me in... and I understand about the way things get out of hand...

Opi is hilarious I think as well... he really makes me laugh!!!

OPI is bloody hilarious, he makes me laugh so much... yes Pauls post was so sad... as a fellow brit I felt like saying to him,  'come home, I'll look after you !! '

anyway thankfully all is well... the post just got a bit messy... misunderstandings and stuff... I don't want to go into too much detail on here as I don't want to start something !!! you know how it is....

I am sure you could have helped in some way or another, but... I am so glad it was for real. I dont understand how #$#$ like that gets started and guess I dont really need to know, but, we are all here because we need help or needed help at some point... I read to first post he sent after someone had pm'd me about it and it was so sad, I couldn't hardly believe that something like that could be a farce, but, then again... who knows?

it was not a hoax.... the thread got deleted because comments were flying around again.. it all got a bit heated... I lurked and did not comment, you'll be pleased to know !! anyhow magi did good, she was an angel and OPI has gone to see him today with a food parcel... Paul got help thanks to Magi and all is good !! hurrah !! I'm sure Paul and Opi will post at some point...
