Time for us all to brag about our clean time again. I would have had almost a year clean, but tomorrow will be 2 weeks on Fathers day. I always say it don't matter if your a day clean or a year and this time it's more true than ever cause I am a rookie again, lol.

Congrats to everyone here and keep that guard up, addiction is sneaky. Keep working it guys and gals.

Day 4 for me and congrats to you. I remember you when I posted here before and your posts were always such an encouragment to me. I agree about not letting your guard down for a second cause the minute we feel like were going to be ok, bam the ole demon pill starts dancing in our minds saying we need them.

We DON'T NEED THEM, we just think we do. I know my ole brain needs to be completely rewired and I truly believe my weekly meetings will get that done.

Aftercare folks..........go for it, where we are at now, we don't have anything to lose and it helps.

Hey gizzy  good to see you post and going strong ...I was going to message you today just to see how you where doing...im glad your back up and counting days stay strong my friend...well it 243 days clean from the methadone and pills...will be 5yr and 3 mo for alcohol and weed...I dont count the days anymore on the alcohol and weed but I will never forget what lead me to my first A/A meeting...it was the one and only time I was pulled over for DUI and actually taken in....that night I only had a couple of beers but I nodded off at a stop light for like 10min and was reported by someone...that night I had 150ml of methadone in me..enough weed to make a horse high...a few somas to ignite the few beers I had...they gave me a field sobriety test and then draged my a@@ in to a portable DUI test facility ...I blew a .06 I wasn't drunk fortunately but I was impaired... it was early in the morning like 2ish they talked about taking me to the hospital to get my blood drawn...I was freaking out I new it would be the end for me if they did that...they finely decided to take my keys away and made me call someone to come get me...it wasn't a pleasant call home to my wife...but I had gotten REAL lucky...any other saterday night I would have also been drunk it was very unusual that I hadn't had that much to drink...it was a wake up call for me to take a serious look at what I was doing...the next night I went to my first A/A meeting and decided it was time to set down the alcohol and weed...and anything else I was taking recreationaly ...I only wish now I would have given up the methadone to but I still had a few more yrs of living in denial about that to go...everything in Gods time....congrads to everyone on there clean time weather its 1 day or 20 yrs be sure you guard it with some sort of aftercare....good luck to everyone on this post.....Gnarly

Glad to see you hanging in there.  I understand the "do over".  It would have been 6 months for me yesterday .......BUT............41 days today I believe.
