Still getting better.....

Today is Day 8 for me. I'm actually feeling a lot better and can see the difference in the past week. My problem now is the restless ARM and some anxiety. I've tried Icee Hot, heating pad, different sleep positions and rooms, etc. Just can't figure out what to do and how long this is going to last! It's driving me crazy!! I had a really stressful day yesterday due to some things not related to what I've been talking about for the past 8 days. I wasn't able to sleep at all. I can't fall asleep before 2:30am no matter what. It's always at least that late! (I use to struggle to stay away til 9:30). I can't wait til my sleeping gets back on track. I was doing good over teh weekend but when I dont fall asleep til 2:30 and have to get my daughter up at 6:00... just doesnt cut it!
Anyway, I had a really rough day yesterday. Lots of cravings, etc. I'm really hoping today will be better! I need more sleep, and this restless arm syndrome to go away! Today WILL be better!!!

Two weeks is awesome!  One thing I wanted to throw out about the RLS.  Some studies have stated that low iron can be related to RLS.  I was interested in this as I tend to have anemia. I have been taking extra iron (have to be careful it can cause me some tummy problems) and I am hoping to see some changes.  Just thought I would mention it, as women tend to have more problems with iron than men.

I agree, your progress is very inspiring and hopefully will be to others that have wandered to this site, as I did, desperately looking for help!!

Personally Mam, I stuck with Advil for the first three weeks then started taking them as needed which might be once a day or be ok a couple days then take some if I felt I needed something. Also supplimented with B-12 during the same period as from what I have read, it suppossibly helps the neurochemicals in the brain get back to being their old self producing the chemicals the opiates had messed with...Plus, concerning tylenol it seems we are seeing revised warnings about it lately where they are wanting to lower the daily intake ,or should I say max dose in a 24 hr period (not to be done on a regular basis) from 4000mg down to the 2800mg range I think. Tylenol really didn't seems to work for me as well as the Advil..

On the rest of the suppliments, I really don't have an answer on that. I basically keep up with a multivitamin,  B-12, and folic acid which my Dr indicated to me was fine (for me)..I never got real heavy into some of the things listed in the Thomas recipe so in regard to that question maybe someone else can enlighten you on a time frame they took the variety of things listed there...And well ,well! Seems like yesterday we were talking about the number 8. Now look at you! Talking a bout the number 14...Your doing great dear.Tram says it all. Your progress is a true inspiration to everyone in here..Seeing you gaining the ground you have in such a short period of time really does make me feel good and so worthwhile..You are a star student persay for those that are still stuck in the " I can't do this" mentality trap. And here you are..Showing them that they truly have the ability to succeed if they would just change their mindset and move forward as you are..Just really really proud of the example you are projecting into the forum to those still caught in that hopeless state..

Btw, Watch out! Ben and Jerry's came out with a "blueberry Cheesecake" variety. I spotted it at Walmart while shopping withthe kids the other evening..Haven't gotten into it yet, but if its anything like the strawberry version,,I'm in trouble..:)

Mamaamw, nope your weekend has gone well for you..I love reading your posts and feeling that glow your projecting out for all to see....Thats just great :) Dav
