I am not an addict, never have been. During this pregnancy i have been so stressed and sometimes in horrible pin. I have used oxycodone just a handful of times during this pregnancy, im now 29 weeks, not doing anything. Done one at the end of second trimester. I have not and will not discuss this with my doctor. The only person that knows is my mother inlaw, yes not spouse, mother inlaw, she agrees that the stress nd pain wasn't good for the baby and she gets them prescribed to her. My question is will this show up when baby is born? I know mothers out there that are addicted nd come out having no problems. I haven't abused this drug, nor do i crave it. Like i said only used a handful of times and small dosage. Does anyone have experience? What will happen? And once again in not telling my doctor. If i were addicted or still doing them it would be a whole different story.

So far from what I've been told & have heard from where in from they only test those kind of things if baby has a problem or if they suspect any drug use from the mother. If they ask me at birth if i had taken these ill be honest and st i did it a few times only for pain, not addiction.

But yes if you've only taken a couple at the start of your pregnancy then I'm sure you're fine. But the studies are still out on whether mothers taking the drug their whole pregnancy will cause issues. Usually you won't know until they are a bit older. They could have trouble in school, listening and learning or act out. Like I said studies are still out. It's better to just not take anything at all well pregnant if possible.

Hi early I don't think one pill is going to be a big thing. I nor my babies were ever tested after birth. I never took anything then so it was not a problem. I wouldn't stress too much.

What exactly are you asking? If the oxycodone will show up when the baby is tested? I think it's after 4 months that anything you've taken will show up on the tests. But you've made it quite clear you're telling no one,so I guess it's a waiting game for you. Wouldn't recommend taking anymore.

To be honest every time i see my doctor, she seems like she is in such a rush. I am lot more content than i was at the beginning of my pregnancy. I think everyone deals with stress withall the body changes and hormones. My baby is perfectly healthy! That's one thing i do know. I've had 3d ultra sounds where he is just smiling ear to ear. He is precious! I just don't want complications with something that i did not abuse.

Why havent you talked with your OB about the stress and pain you are having?  Stress can create pain also.
